ANTF Shahdara Busts Major Liquor Racket: 1496 Quarters Seized, Two Notorious Suppliers Nabbed with 26 Past Cases!

On 04.08.2025, acting on a credible tip-off, Inspector Arjun Singh (I/C ANTF/SHD) along with his team comprising SI Satyadev Panwar, ASI Sultan Singh, HC Rajesh (No.1197/SHD), HC Vinay (No.797/SHD), HC Vedpal (No.1805/SHD), HC Vikas (No.1185/SHD), HC Yogesh (No.1972/SHD), Ct. Arjun (No.1474/SHD), W/Ct Shivani No.2346/SHD, DHG Dinesh, conducted a strategic operation near Shahdara Flyover PS Jurisdiction of PS Shahdara Delhi, under the close supervision of ACP/OPPs. A vehicle matching the given description was intercepted. Upon checking the SantroXingCar No. DL10CD7888 and found illegal liquor cartoon the team discovered 1496 quarters (180 ml each) of country-made liquor labelled “For sale in Haryana only” concealed in the trunk, a case was registered vide FIR No.259/25, dated 04.08.2025, under Sections 33/58 of the Delhi Excise Act, at ANTF/SHD.

Efforts Made:

The ANTF/SHD team acted swiftly upon receiving the information. The Santro Xing Car carrying the illicit liquor was successfully intercepted. The driver, identified Mohit Kumar S/O Bhup Singh R/O VillageRohna, PS Kharkhoda Sonipat HR Age 23 Year 2. Sandeep ChandS/oRam Singh R/o, H.NO K-14F, Amar Colony, Nangloi, Dehli Age 44 Yearw ere apprehended at the scene. They have confessed to supply the liquor consignment, and a voucher was also recovered from his possession. Further interrogation of the driver and investigation into the origin and destination of the liquor is ongoing.
