On August 11, with the support of local business and citizen organizations, MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal will lead a Tiranga Yatra from Red Fort to Fatehpuri Chowk to celebrate nationalism – Praveen Shankar Kapoor

Praveen Shankar Kapoor, General Secretary of the Chandni Chowk Nagrik Manch and spokesperson of the Delhi BJP, has once again drawn the attention of Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta and Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh to the growing encroachments not just in Chandni Chowk market, but also on connected roads like Diwan Hall Road, Cycle Market Road, H.C. Sen Marg, Shanti Desai Marg, Nai Sarak, and Fatehpuri Church Mission Road. He has demanded strict action on this issue.

Mr. Kapoor said that while the efforts of MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal improve the cleanliness and reduce encroachments in the area, negligence by the Public Works Department, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, and local police has led to severe deterioration in Chandni Chowk, which now requires urgent stern corrective measures.

The General Secretary of the Chandni Chowk Nagrik Manch added that while there are indeed significant problems that must be addressed immediately, the shopkeepers and residents of Chandni Chowk are all nationalists.

Therefore, during the Independence Day Week, from August 9 to 15, they will not participate in any protest, sit-in, or symbolic Gandhigiri demonstrations.

Mr. Kapoor further announced that on August 11, with support from local business and citizen groups, MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal will organize a Tiranga Yatra (Tricolor March) from Red Fort to Fatehpuri Chowk to wave the flag of nationalism.
