DESPERATE CRIMINAL, WANTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY, ARRESTED BY INTER STATE CELL, CRIME BRANCH

With the arrest of Arbaaz, a desperate and absconding robber residing in New Seelampur, Delhi, the team of ISC/Crime Branch has achieved a significant breakthrough. The accused had been evading arrest since 23.02.2025, and proceedings under Section 84 of BNSS were initiated against him. 
 
INCIDENT:  
A case vide FIR No. 160/2025, U/s 309(4)/311/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Kotwali based on the complaint of Raju, a resident of New Usmanpur, Delhi. On the night of 22.02.2025, while returning home from Kamla Market via auto-rickshaw, the complainant found himself in grave danger. At around 9:30 PM near Shantivan red light, as the driver stepped out on the pretext of a natural call, the two remaining occupants inside the auto brandished blades and threatened to slit his throat. They looted his mobile phone, ?10,000 in cash, and other personal belongings. Two of the culprits Aman and Rahim were arrested shortly thereafter, but the third accused, Arbaaz, managed to flee and remained on the run until now. 
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:  
To arrest the absconding/wanted accused Arbaaz, the task was assigned to the team of ISC/Crime Branch. A dedicated team comprising of SI Ashish Sharma, ASIs Shailender Singh, Rakesh Kumar, HCs Varun, Mahender & Shakti Singh under the leadership of Insp Kamal Kumar, supervision of Insp Satendra Mohan and overall supervision of Sh. Ramesh Chander Lamba, ACP/ISC, Crime Branch was constituted.  
To track the elusive accused, the team initiated focused surveillance and rigorous intelligence gathering. Head Constables Mahender & Shakti played a crucial role, working tirelessly to develop and analyze all available leads. Their efforts bore fruit when they zeroed in on the suspect’s likely hideout in Seelampur, North East Delhi. Acting swiftly on this actionable intelligence, the team launched a well-coordinated raid near Zero Pusta Road, Seelampur.  
The operation resulted in the successful arrest of the absconding accused, Arbaaz, who had been on the run since the commission of the crime. During sustained interrogation, Arbaaz confessed to his involvement in the robbery committed along with his two associates, identified as Aman and Rahim. He further disclosed that he had been constantly changing his locations to evade arrest.  
PROFILE: 
 Arbaaz (aged 24 years) has studied up to 9th class. After his father's death and faced with economic hardship, Arbaaz fell into bad company and started committing crime to make quick money.  
Further legal proceedings are under way.
