WIFE, CONSPIRATOR IN KILLING AND DUMPING DEAD BODY OF HER HUSBAND (AN ABSENT HISTORY SHEETER CUM P.O.) AND GOT LODGED FALSE MISSING REPORT IN PS ALIPUR, ARRESTED ALONG WITH HER EXTRA MARITAL FRIEND BY NR-II, CRIME BRANCH, DELHI

 

INTRODUCTION:

The incessant and painstaking efforts made by the team of NR-II/Crime Branch have solved a blind murder case registered in July, 2024 at PS Gannaur, Sonipat, Haryana, with the arrest of two accused persons including wife of the deceased named Soniya, 34 years, r/o Village - Alipur, Delhi, and her extra marital friend named Rohit r/o Village- Jaji, Sonipat, Haryana.  Deceased Pritam Prakash was history sheeter of PS Alipur, Delhi and has been declared Proclaimed offender.  The lady accused i.e. wife of deceased gave Supari to one of her relatives to kill her husband. 

   Under the conspiracy, the deceased was killed and dumped in the area of PS Gannaur, Sonipat, Haryana in July, 2024.After killing the deceased, the lady accused lodged false report of missing in PS Alipur, Delhi. After a few days of murder, the dead body of the deceased was found in a Nala, Near Village Agwanpur, PS Gannaur, Sonipat, Haryana.  

The deceased was never identified and the murder case registered in PS Gannaur, Sonipat, Haryana was never worked out. The lady accused handed over mobile phone of the deceased to her boyfriend Rohit to dispose of the same but the accused Rohit started using the same. Accused Rohit has previously been involved in 04 heinous cases of Haryana including murder and arms act. 

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:

The Crime Branch, Delhi Police has been tasked to keep covert and overt watch over the criminals involved in heinous cases like Extortion, murder, Arms Act etc. 

During a covert watch over the criminals of Outer-North District, the team of Northern Range-II (NR-II), Crime Branchled by Inspector Sandeep Tushir noticed that on an absent BC of PS Alipur namely Pritam Prakash, 42 years, r/o Dayal Market, Alipur, Delhi was not traceable since long, and he has also been declared Proclaimed Offender in one case.  

Keeping in view of gravity of the case, a team led by Inspector Sandeep Tushir comprising SI Satender, SI Yogesh Dahiya, SI Parvir Singh, SI Pardeep Godara, HC Pradeep Tomar, HC Ajay Pal, HC Sandeep Sangroha, HC Siddarth, HC Ashwani Dahiya, HC Vinod Bajad, HC Ajay, HC Sohit and W/Ct. Rajani Sharma, under the close supervision of ACP Ashok Sharma, was constituted by the DCP/Crime Branch, Sh. Harsh Indora, IPS.  

The team started working both manually and technically.  HC Pardeep Tomar was collecting information through his secret sources and it was learnt that Missing Report of Pritam was got lodged by her wife Soniya on 20/07/2024 that her husband was missing since intervening night of 05/06 July 2024.  On checking the record from the concerned police station, in this regard a missing report vide GD No. 2A dated 20/07/2024 was found lodged at PS Alipur, Delhi. 

The team started working technically and it was found that last used phone ofmissing Pritam Prakash (History sheeter/P.O.) was running at Village Jaji, Sonipat, Haryana.  The team started to keep covert watch over the persons using the phone of missing persons and it was found that the user has criminal background.  The team conducted raids and the person Rohit r/o Jaji, Sonipat, using the phone, was nabbed and examined.  

Initially, Rohit tried to divert the investigation by saying that he had purchased the phone from some unknown.  But on sustained interrogation, Rohit broke down and disclosed that he was having illicit relation with Soniya i.e. wife of the missing Pritam Prakash. The phone was given to him by Soniya.  He further disclosed that Soniya told him that he had given Supari of her husband and got killed him in Gannaur, Sonipat last year in July 2024 and also disposed of his body. 

The team swung into action and wife of the deceased named Soniya, 34 years, was nabbed. On initial interrogation, she has also tried to befool the investigating agency but when she was cross examined with the documentary evidences, she also broke down and disclosed that in July 2024, she had given supari of killing of her husband to one Vijay (Devar of her sister) r/o Village Gumad, Gannaur, Sonipat. Who killed and disposed of his dead body by throwing in a Nala, Near Village Agwanpur, Gannaur, Sonipat. Later, Vijay sent her, on social media, news article about the dead body recovered from the Nala by the local police of Gannaur, Sonipat, Haryana but the dead body was never got identified.  

On checking from PS Gannaur, Sonipat, an unidentified dead body was found on 10/07/2024 in Nala at the location disclosed by the accused and a case vide FIR No. 292/2024 dated 10/07/2024 u/s 103(1)/238(a) PS Gannaur, Sonipat, Haryana was registered in this regard. The police officials of Haryana police told that the deceased has never been identified but the samples during autopsy for DNA had been preserved there.  

Deceased Pritam Prakash was an active history sheeter of PS Alipur and has previously been involved in more than 10 cases including robbery, hurt etc.  

INTERROGATION:

Accused Soniya W/o Lt. Pritam Prakash, R/o Alipur, Delhi, Age- 34 Years, disclosed that she is educated only up to the 4th class. Her parents live in Jindpur Colony, Alipur, Delhi. When she was 16 years old, she had a love marriage with Pritam Prakash. From this marriage, she has three children (two girls and one boy). Her husband Pritam Prakash was a drug addict and often came home under the influence of drugs and used to beat me up. Since their marriage, she often used to fight with Pritam about his drug addiction. 

Pritam Prakash had been to jail many times for illegal possession of weapons, robbery, theft, kidnapping, and other cases, and because of this, the atmosphere at home was often bad. Despite many attempts to make him understand, Pritam was not giving up drugs and crime. In 2023-24, she became friends with co-accused Rohit, R/o Village- Jaji, Sonipat, Haryana, who at that time was working as a taxi driver in Delhi. They became friends through social media. Rohit has also been to jail a number of times. They wanted to marry but her husband was an obstacle.  She would often fight with her husband Pritam and go to her sister Deepa's house, R/o Gannaur, Sonipat, Haryana. 

On 2nd July 2024, she had a fight with Pritam, and because of this, she went to my sister Deepa's house in Gannaur, Sonipat, in co-accused Rohit's taxi, and Rohit dropped her there and left. She asked Rohit to kill her husband but Rohit demanded Rs. 6 lacs by saying that he alone can’t commit it and he had to hire some other also.  She didn’t have so much money. In between some case was registered against Rohit and he got underground. 

On 05th of July, 2024, Pritam came to Gannaur to pick her up and started arguing with she, and he insulted her and went away from there.  That day, she told her sister Deepa's brother-in-law (Devar), Vijay, that Pritam would have to be finished, he has made her life hell. Vijay told her that this work would cost one lakh rupees. She told Vijay that she would give 50,000 rupees.  In the evening, Pritam again came there in his TSR to pick her up and started requesting her to come back to her house, but she had already made up her mind to get him killed. 

She told Vijay that this is the right time, stop Pritam here tonight and finish him off at night. At our request, Pritam agreed to stay there, and everyone had dinner. She went to sleep on the terrace with my sister and children. Pritam and Vijay were sleeping in the room downstairs in the house. After some time, she heard Pritam's screams during the night. When she woke up in the morning, she saw that Pritam was not at home. She asked Vijay if the work had been done at night or not, and Vijay told her that he had murdered Pritam at night itself and had wrapped his dead body in a cloth and thrown it in a drain near Agwanpur village at night. Pritam's phone was kept on the fridge in the house, which she picked up and kept with her. 

After this, she took Pritam's TSR by hiring some driver and came back to my house in Alipur on 6th July 2024.  Vijay had also sent her a video and photo of Pritam's dead body on Instagram, in which the dead body was seen lying in the drain. Vijay later deleted that video and photo. Two days later, Vijay came to her house and started asking for money. She took some money on loan from people in her neighborhood and gave Vijay a total of 50,000 rupees, and she had sold Pritam's TSR for a total of 4.50 lakh rupees, from which after deducting the loan amount, she got a total of 2,80,000 rupees, some of which she gave to Rohit and some she spent. 

On 20th July, 2024, she had also lodged a false missing report of her husband in PS Alipur, Delhi.  About 2-3 months later, she gave Pritam's mobile phone to Rohit and told him to break this phone and throw it in a drain somewhere. A few days later, she asked Rohit again whether he had broken and thrown Pritam's mobile phone or not, to which Rohit said that he had did that.  

In June 2025, Vijay S/o Prem, is a resident of village Gumar, Gannaur was arrested in a theft case and is currently in jail in Haryana. 

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS AND PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENTS:

1. Accused Soniya, 34 years is wife of the deceased.  She is resident of Village Alipur, Delhi. At the age of about 15 years, she fell in love with the deceased and they got married against their families.  The matter was never reported to the police by the families or any other.  Later, the families accepted the marriage.  From the wedlock, they have 03 children (one 16 years old boy and two daughters).

2. Accused Rohit, resident of VPO-Jaji, District-Sonepat, Haryana, age 28 years, is educated up to the 10th grade and fell into bad company in childhood. He has previously been involved in 04 criminal cases including murder, arms act etc.  He has got married in April, 2025.  He used to work as private cab driver from Sonipat to Delhi Bye Pass. He was in extra marital affairs with the co-accused Soniya.
