MAIN SHOOTER INVOLVED IN A MURDER CASE OF VILLAGE MUKHIYA IN BIHAR ARRESTED BY TEAM OF NR-II, CRIME BRANCH.

HE IS A DREADED CRIMINAL INVOLVED IN 31 OTHER CASES OF MURDER, EXTORTION, ATTEMPT TO MURDER, ROBBERY, NDPS ACT, UP GANGSTER ACT, ARMS ACT ETC.

INTRODUCTION:

In a tremendous display of unwavering resolve and commitment to inter-state police cooperation and public safety the team of NR-II, Crime Branch under the astute guidance of ACP/NR-II, Shri Narender Beniwal and the decisive leadership of Inspector Sandeep Swami, successfully apprehended one active gangster who shot dead a former Mukhiya (sarpanch) of the village in PS Mali, Aurangabad, Bihar. The desperate gangster namely Rahul Singh Rajput is a wanted fugitive in a brutal murder case registered at PS Mali, Aurangabad, Bihar besides 31 other involvements in Murder, Attempt to Murder, Extortion, Robbery, Arms Act, UP Gangster Act etc. The successful coordinated operation, was a direct result of the relentless technical surveillance, on-ground efforts and vital intelligence meticulously developed by HC Raj Aryan.

GIST OF THE INCIDENT:

On 30.11.2024, in furtherance of an old enmity between two groups competing for the post of Mukhiya (sarpanch), one group in-order to establish their dominance in the area, shot dead one person namely Sanjay Singh, resulting in registration of case vide FIR No. 222/24 u/s 103(1), 61, 3 (5), BNS & 27 Arms Act at PS Mali, Aurangabad, Bihar. Total 07 persons had been arrested till now by local police for their direct involvement/criminal conspiracy in Murder. But, the main shooter namely Rahul Singh Rajput was still evading the clutches of Law. NBW had been issued against him by Bihar Court.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:

On 22.07.2025, a team of PS Mali, Aurangabad, Bihar came to NR-II, Crime Branch and requested police assistance to apprehend the above said wanted criminal. Considering the profile of the criminal, senior officers were apprised of the same and acting upon their directions a team led by Insp Sandeep Swami comprising of SI Pankaj Saroha, SI Pardeep Dahiya, ASI Sunil, HC Sumit, HC Nitin, HC Raj Aryan, HC Naval, HC Ajay and Ct Yogender under close supervision of ACP Shri Narender Singh Beniwal, was constituted by DCP/Crime Branch, Shri Harsh Indora, IPS to nab the wanted murderer in coordination with Bihar Police.

The team swiftly mobilized to assist in the apprehension of the wanted criminal. Proactive approach, combined with technical surveillance, quickly narrowed down the wanted gangster’s location near Keshav Puram, Delhi and sharp ground intelligence by HC Raj Aryan helped the team in zeroing down his presence near Prembari Pul before laying a trap.

This seamless coordination and rapid response were instrumental in setting the stage for a successful outcome leading to apprehension of Rahul Singh Rajput s/o Shiv Bahadur Singh r/o Village Chaur, PS Rampur, Distt Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh Age: 39 years. During sustained interrogation, he confessed his involvement in the present case and thus was arrested by accompanying Bihar Police and produced before the court concerned.

INTERROGATION:

He disclosed that he belonged to a poor family in Jaunpur, UP. His father used to work in TELCO, Jamshedpur and mother was a housewife. He got his education in Jaunpur, UP and he was in 12th standard when he was booked for his first crime as a major. After that he left studies and tried to join his father in Jamshedpur, but things didn’t work out as he had higher ambitions from life. He entered supply chain of NDPS substances and was arrested for the same.

After that he never looked back, and started extorting businessmen/builders etc and didn’t think twice before killing or firing at someone. Easy money through extortion got him involved in several Murders, Attempts, Arms Act etc as a result he has been booked thrice under UP Gangster Act. He was lodged in jail with one Rakesh Giri of Aurangabad, Bihar and his friendship with him led him to his involvement in the present Murder.
