On the initiative of Collector Neha Meena, "Matridhara Abhiyan (Power to Nature from Women Power)" has been started in Jhabua district with the aim of promoting environmental protection and tree plantation with the participation of women. Under "Matridhara_Abhiyan", women gave a strong message of nature and environmental protection to the society through traditional rangoli art on the theme "Meri Rangoli - Paryavaran Wali" based on the theme "Power to Nature from Women Power".
This is not only a cultural activity, but it is also a creative effort to connect social and environmental concerns.
Collector Neha Meena said that its main objective is to expand environmental awareness in the society by making women's creativity and artistic expression a medium. The objective of Matridhara Abhiyan is to strongly present the role of women in environmental protection, because women are the carriers of positive change at both family and society levels. By making rangoli, women and girls not only displayed their art but also expressed their responsibility towards the environment. Through colorful and attractive rangolis, women depicted important issues like water conservation, air purity, increase greenery. These rangolis forced us to think about how important our duty towards nature is and how big changes can be brought about by small efforts.
During this time, the participation of various social organizations, self-help groups, school girls and local residents was remarkable. Under the "Matridhara_Abhiyan", such events are continuously highlighting the strong role of women as well as becoming a medium to bring positive and lasting change in the society.
