KEY BREAKTHROUGH IN SUBHASH PLACE ARMED ROBBERY CASE

CRUCIAL INTELLIGENCE LEADS TO APPREHENSION OF FUGITIVE ON THE RUN
ROBBERY OF JEWELLERY WORTH OVER 50 LACS WAS COMMITTEE DAFTER STABBING A SALESMAN IN A POSH LOCALITY BY THREE ARMED ASSAILANTS

A team of NR-II/Crime Branch, under the vigilant supervision of ACP/NR-II, Sh. Narender Beniwal and effective leadership of Inspector Sandeep Swami, achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending a wanted fugitive namely Shivam @ Shubham @ Shibu s/o Ravi Kumar r/o MangolPuri, Delhi (Age: 22 years) for his involvement in a sensational Armed Robbery Case of PS Subhash Place, New Delhi who was on the run for over a month after stabbing and looting gold and silver jewellery worth over 50 Lacs from a salesman.

BRIEF OF CASE:

On 12.06.2025, three armed assailants had stabbed a salesman and looted gold and silver jewellery worth over 50 lacs. The incident was registered vide case FIR No. 365/25, u/s 309(4)/309(6)/317(2)/ 311/3(5)/61(2) BNS, PS Subhash Place and investigation was taken up by the local police. One of the assailants namely Jitender @ Sujal @ Passi along with two other co-accused involved in hatching the criminal conspiracy (Vijay Kumar and Vishal Sain @ Vishu) had already been arrested by the local police. But, despite best efforts present accused Shivam @ Shubham @ Shibu had been evading the clutches of law.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:

The above said incident had profoundly disturbed the community, instilling widespread fear. Therefore, swift apprehension of all the accused persons was imperative to reassert the rule of law and restore public confidence. In view of the same, teams of NR-II, Crime Branch, Sector 18, Rohini were specifically tasked to arrest all the accused persons in the above Robbery.

In furtherance of the same, a team comprising of SI Pankaj Saroha, SI Pardeep Dahiya, SI Sukhvinder, ASI Sunil, HC Naval, HC Nitin, HC Ajay, HC Sumit, HC Raj Aryan and Ct Yogender led by Inspr. Sandeep Swami under the supervision of ACP/NR-II, Sh. Narender Beniwal was constituted by DCP/Crime Branch, Sh. Harsh Indora, IPS to work upon the present case.

Meanwhile, HC Raj Aryan received a secret information that one Shivam @ Shubham @ Shibu who is involved in the above said robbery can be apprehended by developing intelligence. Raids were conducted at all possible hideouts of the accused. Activities of all the friends and relatives of the accused were monitored covertly.

On the basis of technical surveillance and local intelligence gathered by HC Raj Aryan and team, itwas established that the accused Shivam @ Shubham @ Shibu can be found near Sati Nagar, Naraich, Agra, UP. The team laid a trap near Sati Nagar, Naraich, Agra and nabbed the accused Shivam @ Shubham @ Shibu. He confessed about his involvement in the aforesaid case of armed robbery and thus was arrested vide Kalandra u/s 35.1 (c) BNSS.

INTERROGATION:

Accused Shivam @ Shubham @ Shibu disclosed that after losing his father, his family was in poor financial condition. He started doing petty jobs but couldn’t earn a handsome living. His neighbor Kayam introduced him with the idea of robbing cash & jewellery and leading a lavish lifestyle. Due to greed of money, he joined hands with Kayam and Jitender @ Sujal @ Passi and in connivance with other co-accused persons involved in criminal conspiracy committed the present robbery.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:

Accused Shivam @ Shubham @ Shibu had studied upto 10th standard. After that, his father expired and due to lack of finances he started working as an AC repair technician. Later on, he started working at a clothes shop in Sector-9, Rohini.Co-accused persons were his neighbours, poor financial status and bad company led him to involvement in the present case.
