In Jhabua district, on the initiative of Collector Neha Meena, “Matridhara Abhiyan (Power to Nature from Women Power)” has been started with the aim of promoting environmental protection and tree plantation with the participation of women.

Under the Matridhara Abhiyan, “Gift a Plant” initiative was organized based on the theme of Nari Shakti to Nature. In which women gave the message of environmental protection by gifting a plant to their relatives. A large number of women participated on this occasion and made a strong effort to connect with nature.

The objective of the program was to connect women with environmental awareness and inspire every person towards tree plantation. This initiative of gifting a plant not only revealed the love for the environment, but also gave the message that every gift should come with a responsibility – to maintain the greenery of the earth.

On this occasion, various types of flowering plants, ornamental plants, medicinal plants, fruitful and shady plants were presented as gifts to the relatives. Along with accepting the plant, everyone also took a pledge that they will preserve it and also make others aware in this direction. Collector Neha Meena said that this initiative is a part of a continuous movement, in which environmental conservation is being given a new direction with the participation of women. This campaign will continue in future also through similar activities at various places.
