Successful organization of CME on Recent Advances in Plastic Surgery

On 25/7/25, a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on the topic "Recent Advances in Plastic Surgery" was successfully organized by Professor Dr. K. N. Arya, Head of the Department of Surgery, under the chairmanship of Dean Professor Dr. Deepak Marawi at the Government Medical College.

The objective of this program was to provide information about the latest research, techniques and advanced treatment methods in the field of plastic surgery to doctors, resident doctors and medical students. On this occasion, eminent plastic surgeons, experts and young doctors of the state participated. In which the scope of plastic surgery was discussed by plastic surgery specialist Professor Dr. Mukesh Singh Narwaria from Gwalior, GRMC, gender affiriming surgery principles and practice by Dr. Akansh Jain from Jhansi, and modern liposuction techniques by Dr. Basudev Sharma from Datia Medical College.

The program started with lighting of lamps and welcome speech by the chief guests. After this, subject experts presented lectures on the latest information related to state-of-the-art surgical techniques, microvascular surgery, reconstructive procedures and cosmetic surgery. A competition was also organized for the students in the program, in which all the students participated enthusiastically.

The participants in the CME also gained practical experience through live surgical demonstrations, case discussions and interactive sessions, which gave them an opportunity to further improve their knowledge and skills.

At the end of the program, Dr. Sandeep Srivastava thanked all the speakers and participants, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Badal, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Dr. Chandravarman Singh, Dr. Deepak Yadav, and also thanked the organizing committee members Senior Resident Dr. Kusum Mahor, Dr. Ashish Shukla, Dr. Pradeep Rathore and Dr. Utkarsh and all the PG students of the department and expressed commitment to continue such educational events in future as well.

This CME program proved to be an important step towards the development of the medical field and providing better treatment to the patients.
