INCIDENT OVERVIEW:-

In a focused operation to curb illegal immigration, the Foreigner Cell of North-West District Police, Delhi, apprehended two transgender individuals on 23.07.2025 from beneath the Bhalaswa Dairy Flyover, falling under the jurisdiction of PS Jahangir Puri. Upon investigation, it was revealed that both individuals were involved in begging during the daytime and engaging in paraphilic sexual activities at night. This action reflects the continued efforts of the police to address unlawful presence and activities within the district.

OPERATION DETAILS:-

Acting on credible intelligence that some Bangladeshi nationals were observed moving suspiciously in the Jahangir Puri area during late-night hours, the Foreigner Cell of North-West District, Delhi Police, promptly launched a covert operation. A dedicated team comprising SI Sapan, ASI Rajender Singh, ASI Vijay, HC Vikram, HC Kapil Kumar, HC Vikash Yadav, HC Tika Ram, HC Praveen, W/HC Deepak, W/HC Seema, Ct. Nishant Mattoo, Ct. Hawa Singh & Ct. Deepak Bangar was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Vipin Kumar (Foreigner Cell) and overall supervision of Sh. Rajeev Kumar, ACP/Foreigners Cell.

After apprehending two suspects, a detailed verification process was carried out. Their documents were scrutinized, and to confirm their nationality, identity details were sought via their mobile phones from Bangladesh. This process conclusively established that all two were Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in India. During interrogation, it was further revealed that they were engaged in rag-picking and petty theft activities in various parts of the North-West District.

During the course of enquiry, several photos were recovered from their phone gallery and Instagram account, which were found to be from locations in Bangladesh. Upon sustained interrogation, both individuals admitted their original nationality as Bangladeshi. Further investigation revealed that they had undergone Gender-Affirming Surgery (GAS) to alter their physical appearance to resemble women. In addition, they used heavy makeup, wore sarees or salwar suits, used artificial hair (wigs), and adorned themselves with feminine accessories. Some had even modified their voice and body language to closely mimic female mannerisms in an attempt to conceal their true identity.

This meticulously planned operation is a testament to the Delhi Police’s commitment to national security and strict enforcement of immigration laws. The apprehended individuals were found to be staying in India without valid travel documents or permits, thereby violating provisions of the Foreigners Act.
