Women gave the message of environmental protection through Bhajan Sandhya

On the initiative of Collector Neha Meena, “Matridhara Abhiyan (Nari Shakti to Nature)” has been started in Jhabua district with the aim of promoting environmental protection and tree plantation with the participation of women. Innovative measures are being continuously taken by the women power with the aim of increasing public awareness towards environmental protection and making the society sensitive towards nature. In this sequence, under the “Matridhara Abhiyan”, the women of Shri Parshurameshwar Ramayan Mandal, Meghnagar Naka took an innovative initiative and organized an environmental bhajan evening in the temple premises.

The specialty of the bhajans presented in the bhajan evening was that they were all focused on topics like environment, water conservation, cleanliness, tree plantation. Women presented these bhajans in traditional form, which included the sweetness of Bhili songs as well as environmental message. These bhajans emotionally connected the people present and inspired them to feel a sense of duty towards nature. A large number of women group members, youth, children and senior citizens were present in the program. At the end of the event, all the attendees took an oath to protect the environment, maintain cleanliness, plant trees and save water. On this occasion, women also spread messages through self-made posters and slogans. The women of the Ramayana Mandal said that such activities not only bring awareness in the society, but also empower women leadership. They expressed hope that this campaign will reach more areas and more and more women will join it.

Collector Neha Meena said that the objective of the Matridhara campaign is to unite women towards environmental protection and bring them into an active role. When Nari Shakti becomes aware and moves forward for nature, a new energy of social change is born. This innovative program proved that women can effectively convey serious topics like environmental protection to the people through their creativity and cultural mediums. This event is an inspiring example, which is a strong step towards positive change in the society.
