Virendra Sachdeva offers prayers on Guru Purnima for the well-being of Delhiites at Shri Banke Bihari Ji temple and Neem Karoli Baba’s Brij Sthal

“Bhagwan Valmiki was a great saint, poet, and social reformer who composed the ideal life story of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram in the form of the Ramayana,” said Virendra Sachdeva.

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva visited Vrindavan this morning to offer prayers at Shri Banke Bihari Ji temple and bowed at Neem Karoli Baba’s Brij Samadhi Sthal, praying for the well-being and prosperity of the people of Delhi.

As part of his Guru Purnima observances, Shri Virendra Sachdeva also visited and sought blessings from Pujya Premanand Ji Maharaj and Mahamandaleshwar Shri Indradev Saraswati Ji Maharaj, before returning to Delhi.

In the evening, the Delhi BJP President participated in the divine Guru Poojan ceremony held at Bhagwan Valmiki Temple in New Delhi, where he listened to the spiritual discourses and blessings of Param Pujya Mahamandaleshwar Sant Shri Krishna Shah Vidyarthi Ji.
Delhi BJP’s Organization General Secretary Shri Pawan Rana Ji was also present on the occasion.

On this occasion, Shri Virendra Sachdeva stated that Guru Purnima is a day to pay tribute to the great tradition in which the Guru is revered even above God.
He said that Bhagwan Valmiki was not only a great sage, poet, and social reformer but also the first poet (Aadikavi) of India’s Sanatan culture, who taught us that greatness is determined not by birth, but by one’s deeds.

He further emphasized that over the last 11 years, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has consistently worked for the upliftment of the Valmiki community.
He added that under various schemes, Valmiki students are provided financial assistance for higher education after class 12, especially for professional courses.

Shri Sachdeva also mentioned that under the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana, the Modi government has provided loan facilities, along with several schemes aimed at the constitutional and legal empowerment of sanitation workers.
