ONE DESPERATE CRIMINAL AND ABSENT HISTORY SHEETER (BC) WANTED IN A ROBBERY CASE, ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF PS SADAR BAZAR, NORTH DISTRICT

TEAM, INFORMATION & OPERATION:

As a part of the ongoing Special Drive initiated by PS Sadar Bazar, North District, a dedicated team comprising SI Vijay and HC Sanjay, under the close supervision of Inspr. Sahdev Singh Tomar, SHO/PS Sadar Bazar and overall supervision of Ms. Vidushi Kaushik, ACP/Sub-Division, Sadar Bazar, Delhi was working relentlessly to apprehend Proclaimed Offenders and absconding criminals as well as to track down absent BCs. This team focused on capturing proclaimed offenders who had evaded court appearances.

The team's relentless efforts finally paid off on 09.07.2025, when they received a tip-off about a wanted criminal, who was also a proclaimed offender in a case of robbery in PS Sadar Bazar, Delhi. The information revealed that the individual was hiding himself in the area of Raghubir Nagar, Delhi. Consequently, without wasting any time, the team, aided by human intelligence and technical surveillance rushed the place of information and laid a strategic trap. Their efforts ultimately led to the successful apprehension of the proclaimed offender identified as Rishabh, r/o Raghuvir Nagar, Delhi, age 27 years.

INTERROGATION & PROCLAMATION:

During verification, it was revealed that accused Rishabh a History Sheeter (BC) of PS Khyala, who was running absent for the last three months. During further interrogation, he disclosed that he along-with his two accomplices had committed a robbery with a passersby in November-2024 in the area of Sadar Bazar and looted cash Rs. 400/- from him on the point of sharp edged paper cutter. Since then, he was evading his arrest and hiding himself at different places in Delhi. His accomplices have been arrested in this case within a week of the incident, but he was absconding. Later on, he was also declared Proclaimed Offender by the Hon’ble JMFC, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 05.04.2025, in case FIR No. 1329/24 dated 26.11.2024 u/s 309(4)(6)/3(5)/317(2) BNS, PS Sadar Bazar, Delhi.

Accordingly, the accused/offender was arrested in above said case by adding appropriate section of law i.e. 209 BNS at PS Sadar Bazar.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:

• Rishabh, r/o Raghuvir Nagar, Delhi, age 27 years. (He was previously found involved in 34 criminal cases of Robbery, Snatching, Theft & Motor Vehicle Theft of different police stations of Delhi. He is a History Sheeter (BC) of PS Khayala, Delhi and running absent since last 03 months. He was living here and there by changing his address and identity to avoid his presence before the local police).
