On the initiative of Collector Neha Meena, “Matridhara Abhiyan (Power to Nature through Women Power)” has been started in the district with the aim of promoting environmental protection and tree plantation with the participation of women.

Under the inspirational theme of “Nari Shakti to Prakriti ko Shakti”, various activities were organized under Matridhara Abhiyan at various places in the district today. The special thing about this campaign was that it was led by women planting saplings through their children.

In the program, the children not only planted saplings, but they were also given the responsibility of taking care of those saplings. The “ownership” of each sapling was given to the respective child so that they could develop responsibility and sensitivity towards nature. The objective of the program was to protect the environment as well as to awaken the feeling of love and responsibility towards nature in the future generation. The active participation of women made this campaign more powerful and successful.

On this occasion, women from various women organizations, teachers, parents and social workers joined in and made the event special. Everyone appreciated the efforts of the children and pledged to continue such activities in the future.
