WANTED ACCUSED IN NDPS CASE ARRESTED BY SOUTHERN RANGE, CRIME BRANCH.

 In a significant breakthrough, the Southern Range of Crime Branch has successfully apprehended a wanted criminal, Vinod @ Vinu (S/o Ramesh), resident of Dakshinpuri, who had been evading arrest in a narcotics case registered under the NDPS Act at PS Ambedkar Nagar.

Case Details:
In the year 2024, a case vide FIR No. 266/24, under Section 20 of the NDPS Act, was registered at PS Ambedkar Nagar. The accused, Vinod @ Vinu, was arrested with illegal Ganja. While he was initially released on bail after the filing of the charge sheet, the accused subsequently absconded and stopped appearing before the Hon’ble Court. As a result, a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) was issued against him.

Team & Operation:
A dedicated team comprising ASI Vijumon and HC Arvind, under the leadership of Inspector Vijay Pal Dahiya and overall supervision of ACP Girish Kaushik, was tasked with locating and arresting the absconding accused.

After sustained technical and manual surveillance, the team successfully tracked the accused in the Ambedkar Nagar area. A strategic operation was carried out, resulting in the arrest of Vinod @ Vinu. The concerned local police station has been duly informed for further necessary action.

This operation highlights the commitment of Southern Range, Crime Branch, towards ensuring that absconding criminals are brought to justice and that law and order is upheld effectively
