Gwalior. The Municipal Corporation administration has come on alert mode to deal with waterlogging and sewer related problems during the rainy season. In the TL meeting held on Tuesday, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sangh Priya instructed the officers of all the concerned departments to remain active in the field and resolve the complaints of the public immediately.

The Municipal Commissioner directed the senior officers of Water Supply, Sewer, Public Works and Building Branch to regularly visit the area and take immediate action in case of any problem. All the officers were instructed to always pick up the phone and give satisfactory answers.

Special emphasis on cleaning of sewer and drains

The Commissioner instructed the sub-engineers of the sewer branch to submit the details of the cleaning done every day in the evening. He said that negligence in cleaning the drains will not be tolerated. Complaints of waterlogging are being received from areas like Jhaadu Wala Mohalla, Kushwaha Mohalla and Mevati Mohalla, the concerned officer should inspect the site and solve the problem.

No road digging without planning

The Public Works Department was directed that no road should be dug without planning and where digging has been done, restoration work should be done immediately.

Strictness on encroachment and falling of trees

The Municipal Commissioner directed to run a campaign to remove encroachment on the drains, and also directed to take action to remove such trees which are in a state of falling, so that there is no loss of life.

The Municipal Commissioner inspected the wards

The Municipal Commissioner Sangh Priya conducted a surprise inspection of Ward 58 and 30 on Tuesday to see the condition of waterlogging and cleanliness in the city. During the inspection, the Municipal Commissioner visited several areas including Shriram Colony, Madhav Nagar, AG Office Pul City Center and took stock of the water logging situation and also saw the condition of cleanliness and instructed the Assistant Health Officer to do the cleaning on time every day. Along with this, he also instructed the concerned officials to work with constant seriousness. During the inspection, on finding dirt in wards 58 and 30, he instructed to stop one increment of the concerned WHO. Regional Officer Anil Shrivastava was also present during the inspection.
