A digital tracking system should be made along with telecommunication arrangements on the travel route in Nanda Rajjat Yatra - Chief Minister.

The Chief Secretary will review the preparations of the Yatra every month and the Divisional Commissioner every week.

A helpline number will be issued in view of the safety of the passengers.

All preparations for the Nanda Devi Rajjat ??Yatra to be held in Uttarakhand in 2026 should be expedited. All departments should work in mutual coordination for organizing the grand Nanda Rajjat ??Yatra. Suggestions should be taken from public representatives, members of Nanda Rajjat ??Yatra Committee and stakeholders for better arrangements of the Yatra. These instructions were given by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami to the officials during a virtual meeting on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to constitute a high-level committee for the successful conduct of the Nanda Rajjat ??Yatra. Keeping in mind the experiences of previous Yatras, better arrangements should be ensured. Special attention should be paid to cleanliness along with good arrangements of all the walking routes related to the Yatra. Along with better arrangements for the stay of the pilgrims at the halts of the Yatra, he also directed for the arrangements of food and bathing houses. The Chief Minister said that the safety of the pilgrims is of utmost importance. All necessary arrangements should be made to face various challenges in the high Himalayan regions during the Yatra. Digital tracking system should be made along with telecommunication arrangements on the Yatra route.

The Chief Minister said that in view of the safety of the pilgrims, a helpline number should be issued during the Yatra. Special attention should be paid to health facilities during the Yatra. Adequate availability of medical camps and doctors should be ensured. Arrangement of heli ambulance should also be made during the Yatra. The Chief Minister said that the Nanda Raj Jat Yatra takes place during the rainy season, in view of this, all necessary arrangements should be made to prevent infectious diseases. Since most of the halts of the Yatra are in the forest area, special attention should also be paid to the safety of the forest and environment. Adequate availability of tents should be ensured for the pilgrims. The Chief Minister said that folk songs and folk tales related to Nanda Raj Jat should also be documented. The halts of the Yatra should also be widely publicized by the Tourism Department.

The Chief Minister said that all necessary arrangements should be made to strengthen the crowd management and traffic system during the Nadan Rajjat ??Yatra. Adequate availability of parking spaces should be ensured. Drinking water, toilets and other basic facilities should be made available on the travel routes. He directed the Chief Secretary to review the preparations for the Nadan Rajjat ??Yatra every month. The Garhwal and Kumaon Commissioners will also review the preparations related to the Yatra every week. The Chief Minister said that roads, drinking water and other necessary arrangements should also be ensured in all the areas from where devotees and dolis come from in Garhwal and Kumaon.

All necessary arrangements are being made keeping in mind the grand organization of the 280 km historic Nadan Devi Rajjat ??Yatra to be held in Uttarakhand next year and the convenience of the devotees. All preparations are also being made for the Kumbh to be held in Haridwar in 2027. A grand and divine event of Nadan Devi Rajjat ??and Haridwar Kumbh will be organized under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi - Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.

Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Mahendra Bhatt, MLAs Mr. Banshidhar Bhagat, Mr. Anil Nautiyal, Mr. Bhupal Ram Tamta, Mr. Suresh Gadiya, Mrs. Parvati Das, Dr. Mohan Singh Bisht, Chief Secretary Mr. Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary Mr. R.K. Sudhanshu, DGP Mr. Deepam Seth, Secretary Mr. Shailesh Bagoli, Mr. Sachin Kurve, Garhwal Commissioner Mr. Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Garhwal Mr. Rajiv Swaroop, Resident Commissioner Mr. Ajay Mishra and concerned District Magistrate were present in the meeting.
