Message of Hon'ble Chief Minister, Delhi

Chief Guest Hon'ble Chief Minister, Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta ji appreciated the efforts of Delhi Police to make Delhi safe. In her address, she said that “This event is not just a formal event, but a collective resolve towards a safe and drug-free Delhi. Delhi Government has established Anti-Drugs Club in schools and colleges, in which children are coming forward and uniting to fight against drug abuse, which I believe will play a very important role in freeing the youth from the trap of drugs. I also appeal to the departments of Delhi Government to cooperate with Delhi Police in this fight against drug abuse and all of us, citizens, Delhi Government, Police, social welfare organizations, teachers, parents – all should together take a pledge that we will say “No to drugs, yes to life” so that in the coming three years, the dream of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji of a “drug free and safe India” can be realised.

Delhi Police's Sankalp message

The main objective of these programs organized by Delhi Police is to make the general public, especially the youth, aware about drug use and its ill effects and motivate them to stay away from drugs and lead an ideal life. We call upon the youth, who are especially vulnerable to drug use, to face the truth about drugs. People who take illicit drugs are either misinformed or are inadequately aware of the health risks associated with it. Drug addiction is becoming a problem in our society day by day, which needs to be overcome. This fight against drugs is not limited to law alone, but is a people's movement.
