Former Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj should explain how many slum cluster residents were provided a better life by DUSIB during his government’s tenure – Delhi BJP Spokesperson

Delhi BJP spokesperson Mr. Praveen Shankar Kapoor stated that the Aam Aadmi Party came to power claiming to bring about a politics of change, but after gaining power, it did nothing to improve the lives of either slum cluster residents or those living in unauthorized colonies.

The Delhi BJP spokesperson said that the AAP leaders, who are now shedding crocodile tears over the relocation of residents of the Madrasi Camp situated on the Barapullah drain—based on the Delhi High Court’s orders and after being allotted alternative flats—must answer why their government failed to provide a better life to the slum dwellers living on the drain in the first place.

He further said that there is a department in the Delhi Government called DUSIB (Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board), whose core responsibility is to improve the living conditions of slum cluster residents. However, this department has remained inactive for the past ten years.
