Green Signal for Akot File British-Era Railway Bridge Reconstruction – MP Anup Dhotre’s Persistent Efforts Succeed

A major announcement brings relief to the people of Akola the long-pending demand for the reconstruction of the British-era Akot File railway bridge has received in-principle approval from the central government. The old bridge, located between Shivaji Park and Akot File, has severely deteriorated, posing safety risks to commuters. Recognizing the urgency, MP Anup Dhotre continuously followed up with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who responded positively. The Central Railway Department has now initiated surveys and estimates for the new bridge construction. Soon, the final proposal will be submitted to the Centre. Railway officials have already arrived in Akola and begun groundwork. MP Dhotre has expressed gratitude to PM Narendra Modi and Minister Vaishnaw. Additionally, efforts to grant special status to Akola Railway Station are also underway. This development marks a significant upgrade in Akola’s railway infrastructure, ensuring greater safety and smoother transportation for citizens.
