Operation Sindoor: Indian Air Force Targets 9 Terror Camps in Pakistan, 3 Militants Killed, 12 Injured

Ahmedabad, Gujarat

In a significant escalation of cross-border tensions, the Indian Air Force (IAF) launched a strategic air operation, “Operation Sindoor”, striking nine identified terror camps located deep within Pakistani and Pakistan-administered Kashmir territory.

According to official sources, the airstrikes were executed in the early hours of May 7, 2025, in retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians. The Indian government had vowed a "strong and decisive" response.

"The precision airstrikes targeted camps belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. At least three terrorists were confirmed dead, and twelve others sustained injuries," said a senior defense official.

All IAF aircraft reportedly returned safely after completing their mission. The operation lasted for less than 30 minutes and was conducted using advanced radar-jamming aircraft and satellite-guided missiles.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry condemned the strikes, claiming violations of its airspace and alleging civilian damage. However, Indian officials clarified that utmost care was taken to avoid civilian zones, and the operation was directed purely against terror infrastructure.

International Response:

Global powers including the United States and United Nations have expressed concern over rising tensions and urged both nations to exercise restraint and pursue diplomatic dialogue.
