The District Collector issued a prohibitory order under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code 2023 to maintain law and order, security and communal harmony during the upcoming festivals.

Jhabua Keeping in view the upcoming festivals, Good Friday on 18 April 2025, Parshuram Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya on 30 April 2025, Buddha Purnima on 12 May 2025, Maharana Pratap Jayanti / Chhatrasal Jayanti on 29 May 2025, Eid-ul-Adha festival on 07 June 2025 and other festivals will be celebrated. In order to maintain law and order, security and communal harmony during the upcoming festivals/celebrations, it would be appropriate in public interest to issue a prohibitory order under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code 2023 in the entire district Jhabua area to control the activities of anti-social elements, people with criminal tendencies and vested selfish elements.

By the letter of Superintendent of Police, District Jhabua, on the said festival/celebration in the district, rallies/processions etc. are taken out by the society or any organization/common man stages a sit-in and submits a memorandum, due to which public peace in the society is affected and during the rally/procession some people join with weapons. Due to which there is a strong possibility of an unpleasant incident occurring.

Therefore, Collector and District Magistrate District Jhabua Neha Meena issued a prohibitory order using the powers conferred under Section 163 (1) (2) of the Indian Civil Security Code 2023. Playing songs that spread objectionable communal and religious frenzy and posting objectionable photos, comments, pictures or other objectionable messages on social media resources, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Internet etc. will be completely prohibited in the entire revenue limit of Jhabua district. Before organizing any dharna, procession, rally by any organization within the limits of Jhabua district, it will be mandatory to obtain permission by submitting an application to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of the application area. It is necessary to apply for all programs at least 48 hours in advance with the opinion of the competent police officer and without the police officer, the application form should be submitted at least 72 hours in advance. It will be the responsibility of the organizers obtaining permission to get the entire program/event videographed. It will be the responsibility of the organising body to ensure that the programme is peaceful and violence-free. Slogans/banners/posters that hurt the religious sentiments of any religion/classes should not be used in administratively permitted events. Display of arms during any programme will be completely prohibited. In case such a thing is found, the responsibility of the concerned wrongdoer as well as the organiser/organisers of the programme will be determined and legal action will be taken against them.

All types of events will be organised only after obtaining permission from the administrative authorities. Necessary legal action should be ensured by declaring the events held without permission as illegal. Since this order is addressed to the general public and it is not possible to serve it to everyone personally, it is passed unilaterally under Section 163 (2) of the Indian Civil Defence Code, 2023. The said order will remain effective from 17 April 2025 to 17 June 2025 and violation of the order during the said effective period will be a punishable offence under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code, 2023.
