Tahir Kamaal Siddiqui – Indore
In the opening program of the Indian Journalism Festival, the State Press Club of Madhya Pradesh honored 61 active media persons and 11 photographers of the city with the Media Award Saptarishi Samman. In which senior journalists Tahir Kamal Siddiqui, Mehboob Qureshi, Ganesh Chaudhary, Rohit Garhwal were also honored.
The chief guest of the function was MP Shankar Lalwani. Social worker Praveen Kakkar presided over it. Special guests were BJP spokesperson Narendra Saluja and former president Chintu Verma.
On this occasion, the guests said that Indore has a rich history of journalism and there have been eminent editors like Rahul Barpute, Rajendra Mathur, Prabhash Joshi, Manakchand Vajpayee, Rameshchandra Agarwal, Abhay Chhajlani, Vedprakash Vaidik who nurtured journalism with their hard work and writing. The new generation is now carrying forward the tradition of such eminent journalists. Such events not only encourage the best journalists but also enhance their knowledge.
The guests were welcomed by State Press Club President of MP Praveen Khariwal, Convener Sudesh Tiwari, Secretary Akash Chouksey and Ajay Bhatt. The program was conducted by Alok Vajpayee. General Secretary Navneet Shukla expressed gratitude. A large number of media persons and dignitaries were present in the program.
