After buying jewellery from Sarafa Bazar Jewellers showroom, she was going to her home in Padav by e-rickshaw.
A small purse containing jewellery was stolen from the bag of an old lady who boarded an e-rickshaw after buying jewellery from Sarafa Bazar Jewellers showroom. When the old lady reached her home in Padav and opened her bag, the small purse containing jewellery was missing. After the incident, the old lady along with her family reached the police station on Wednesday and lodged a complaint. Police registered a case against the unknown female accused on Thursday. Police is investigating the footage of the woman thief who stole the bag in the e-rickshaw. Police station in-charge Alok Parihar told that a case has been registered against the unknown female thief on the report of Sharda Purohit, resident of Green Hotel Padav. Sharda had boarded an e-rickshaw from Baara to Padav after buying gold ear chain and tops from KKS Jewellers located in Topi Bazar last week. Sharda had bought jewellery worth 1.13 lakh and paid 71 thousand rupees.
Another woman from the Tajia of Gast boarded the same e-rickshaw and sat next to her. Later, this woman got off the rickshaw before her at Dufferin Sarai, she got off at Padhav Chauraha. After reaching home, she put her hand in her bag to take out the purse containing jewellery, but it was missing. After this, she informed her family and then reached Kotwali and Padhav police station and also gave the footage of taking jewellery from the shop. After investigation, Padhav police registered a case of theft against the unknown accused on Thursday.
