11 couples were symbolically presented cheques of Kanyadan amount
A huge mass marriage ceremony was organized in Jhabua district under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana under the hospitality of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, in which the Chief Minister blessed about 2000 couples for a happy married life and witnessed the huge mass marriage.
Traditional welcome
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was welcomed at the venue by Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development Department Ms. Nirmala Bhuria in accordance with the cultural tradition of the district by making them wear a tribal jacket, jhuladi, tying a safa and presenting a bow and arrow. At the venue, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the program by performing Kanya Pujan and lighting a lamp.
Flower shower and public greetings
In the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav entered the venue showering flowers on the married couples and greeted the public.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that such a huge wedding ceremony is giving joy, seeing 2000 couples getting married is a new experience. This is a happy occasion for those 4000 families and the earth is resonating with the chanting of mantras in this huge ceremony. He told that he told all the grooms that they have given kanyadaan to their daughters, this is his good wish that their life be filled with happiness. He said that today 2000 couples have tied the knot by considering Lord Surya as the witness. Out of the 16 rituals of human life, the Panigrahan ritual is an important ritual for entering the family life, through this, by completing 7 vows through 7 rounds, a bond is established for seven lives. I wish from God that there is always happiness in your life.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, efforts have been made to increase the representation of women in the legislature for women empowerment. The state government increased the representation by giving 35 percent reservation in government jobs. The Chief Minister said that the state government is making efforts for the development of women, youth, farmers and poor. Under the Ladli Behna Yojana for women, Rs 1250 is being given and will be given every month continuously, this scheme is bringing radical change in the lives of women, it will not be stopped. Apart from this, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced to build barrages in Bhanda Kheda Barrage, Nagan Khedi, Galti, Chhayan, Jhalarwa, Budashala and Kallipura to solve the problem of drinking water and irrigation in Ranapur area.
Distribution of Kanyadan amount
The Chief Minister blessed 11 couples at the venue by symbolically presenting Kanyadan amount cheques to them and giving them blessings for a happy married life.
Exhibition Observation: - Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav observed the exhibition of various departments at the venue. In which Moti Aai Campaign under Women and Child Development Department Malnutrition Free Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh Day State Rural Livelihood Mission Galsan Mala, Gudda Guddi, Arrow Bow, Tomatoes produced in the district under Horticulture and Food Processing Department and tomato products like dry tomato/tomato powder, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department Shri Ann Crop and Organic Products, Municipal Council Jhabua Waste to Wealth (Tractor from 200 liter drum & tyre, pots from 2.5 liter water bottle, dustbin from 15 liter oil cans & bottles were prepared.
Minister in charge and Cabinet Minister Tribal Affairs, Public Asset Management, Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah said that record breaking mass marriages have taken place in the district, participating in which has made the mind happy.
Cabinet Minister Women and Child Development Department Ms. Nirmala Bhuria said that it is a good fortune for the district that such a huge marriage ceremony was organized and the enthusiasm of the program is visible due to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav himself being a witness.
During this, Minister in charge and Cabinet Minister Tribal Affairs, Public Asset Management, Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, Cabinet Minister Women and Child Development Department Ms. Nirmala Bhuria, Cabinet Minister Scheduled Caste Welfare Mr. Nagar Singh Chauhan, MP Mrs. Anita Chauhan, Divisional Commissioner Indore Mr. Deepak Singh, IG Mr. Anurag, Jhabua Collector Neha Meena, Superintendent of Police Mr. Padma Vilochan Shukla and other public representatives were present.
