Nutrition kits distributed to TB patients at District Tuberculosis Center Jhabua
On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day (March 24), the program started with a TB awareness rally from Rajwada Chowk to District Hospital by the students of Government Nursing College Jhabua and urban Asha workers. Taking the Nikshay oath, a rally was taken out for TB free campaign and after that, under the Nikshay Poshan Yojana under the Prime Minister TB Free India Campaign, food baskets (nutrition kits) were provided to TB patients at District Tuberculosis Center Jhabua and Block level.
This program was organized under the leadership of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Bharat Singh Baghel and District Tuberculosis Center Incharge Dr. Faisal Patel, District Tuberculosis Officer. Dr. M Malviya, Civil Surgeon Jhabua, Dr. Faisal Patel provided food baskets (Nikshay Nutrition Kits) to the patients and called upon other social organizations and public representatives to provide nutritional assistance to TB patients in the campaign. In the program, the entire staff of the district hospital, hospital manager District Jhabua, DPC Dhanraj Changaur PMDT coordinator Pramod Dodiyar, lab technician Niklesh Namdev, Ramesh Solanki, STLS Lavnesh Bhuria, Vikash Verma STS Devisingh Dawar, TBHV Raju Hatila, Monica Dhanak played an important role in this event and other senior doctors and hospital staff were also present.
Everyone appreciated this initiative and emphasized the need for nutrition and care of TB patients. During this, food baskets containing roasted gram, peanut seeds, pulses, rice, flour and fruits were distributed to the patients. The members of the organization pledged to continue this noble initiative so that the needy patients in the society continue to get continuous help and the goal of TB free India can be realized. CMHO Dr. Bharat Singh Baghel appreciated this effort of the District Tuberculosis Center.
