K.R. Mangalam University successfully organized the Viskit Bharat District Youth Parliament (DYP) on 22nd–23rd March 2025 under the aegis of Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, Delhi. The central theme of the event was "One Nation, One Election: Guiding Towards a Developed India." Participants from three districts — Rewari, Faridabad, and Gurugram — were selected through a screening process. Students actively participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm.
A total of 200 students from Rewari, Faridabad, and Gurugram registered on the My Bharat portal, out of which 150 students were selected post-screening. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all selected students.
The program was graced by the presence of several eminent dignitaries, including Mr. Narendra Ahuja Vivek (Former State Drug Controller, Haryana), Mr. T.R. Kem (Former UGC Secretary), Mr. Naveen Gulia (District Youth Officer), Prof. Mehrajuddin Mir (Motilal Nehru Chair), Dr. Rahul Sharma (Registrar, K.R. Mangalam University), Advocate Man Singh (Jury Member), Senior Advocate Tejpal, Advocate Karan Chaudhary, Advocate Naveen Garg, Dr. Anjali Shekhawat, and Mr. Shivam Arora.
Following the inauguration session, the competition for students from Gurugram district was held, which concluded at 4:00 PM.
On the second day, the program began at 10:00 AM, featuring competitions for participants from Rewari and Faridabad districts, which continued until 1:00 PM. This was followed by cultural performances by NSS students of K.R. Mangalam University.
Ms. Gargi Singh, the committee member announced the top 10 winners over the two-day event: Pinki, Tamanna Dayal, Charan Singh, Tushar Kalra, Abhimanyu Yadav, Priya, Tarun Sharma, Vishnu Mishra, Satvik Mukherjee, and Daman Suneja, who were all awarded certificates of achievement. In the last, Dr. Neeraj Kumari (NSS Program Coordinator) gave vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of whole team.
On this occasion, the university administration and guests appreciated the enthusiastic participation of youth and encouraged them to contribute actively to nation-building. The program concluded successfully.
