ONE ROBBER/SNATCHER ARRESTED BY THE CRACK TEAM OF PS MADHU VIHAR, EAST DISTRICT

  • Alcoholic and driven by personal vices, the accused admitted to engaging in criminal acts for financial gain.
INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION: -
As part of the ongoing initiative to curb crime and maintain public safety, dedicated police team from PS Madhu Vihar, East District, were placed on high alert to actively monitor, prevent, and detect unlawful activities in the area under the supervision of SHO/Madhu Vihar and the overall guidance of ACP/Madhu Vihar. 
On the night of 25.07.2025, a specialized patrol team comprising HC Sachin Tyagi and HC Neeraj was conducting routine patrols in the area of PS Madhu Vihar. While on duty, the team noticed a man moving suspiciously on foot. On seeing the police, he attempted to flee the spot. The alert team reacted swiftly and apprehended the suspect after a brief chase. Upon questioning, he failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for his presence in the area. To avoid any untoward incident, his personal search was conducted, which led to the recovery of One button-operated (illegal) knife and Two mobile phones, later identified as stolen property in previous cases registered at PS Madhu Vihar. He was identified as Asif R/o Hassanpur Delhi age -23 yrs. Accordingly, a Case FIR No.  220/2025 U/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Madhu Vihar Delhi. Further investigation of the case is in progress. 
PROFILE: -
? Asif R/o Hassanpur, Delhi Age -23 yrs is illiterate. He is a habitual offender & Budding criminal of PS Madhu-Vihar. He is addicted to drugs. He works as AC repair mechanic. He has been previously involved on two criminal cases.
MOTIVE OF THE ACCUSED: -
     During interrogation, it was revealed that Asif is addicted to drugs and has no stable source of income. To fund his drug addiction and meet his daily expenses, he resorted to snatching and robbery. His involvement in past criminal cases and repeated offenses indicates a growing inclination toward habitual criminal behavior. He admitted to targeting individuals in secluded areas, especially during late hours, to avoid detection.
RECOVERY: -
1. One Stolen Mobile Phone from PS Madhu-Vihar Delhi. 
2. One Stolen Mobile Phone Motorola from PS Madhu-Vihar Delhi.  
3. An illegal Button-dar Knife.
APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC: - 
The East District Police urges all citizens to remain alert and report any suspicious activity or individuals to the nearest police station or via the Emergency Helpline 112.
