Hostel facility started in Gwalior for the children of policemen coming to Gwalior to study
IG Gwalior held a committee meeting and gave guidelines regarding the operation of the hostel.
A 148-bedded hostel has been prepared for the children of police personnel in Gwalior.
Hostels have been built for boys / girls interested in higher studies of officers and employees of the police department in Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior by the Central Welfare Fund of Police Headquarters Bhopal. The Chairman of the Steering Committee of the hostel located in Gwalior is Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone, Vice-President Commander 14th Battalion Gwalior, and members Superintendent of Police Gwalior, Commander 2nd Battalion and 13th Battalion, Secretary Deputy Commander or Assistant Commander has been made in the Steering Committee. For the successful operation of the hostel built in Gwalior, a committee meeting was held today in the IG Gwalior Zone office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone Shri Arvind Saxena (BPS). Superintendent of Police Gwalior Shri Dharamveer Singh (BPS), Commander 2nd Battalion Shri R.K. Sagar (BPS), Commander 14th Battalion Dr. Shivdayal Singh, Assistant Commandant Shri Dilip Chari, Assistant Commandant Rakesh Gupta, Reserve Inspector Gwalior Shri Ranjit Singh Sikarwar, Company Commander Shri Rakesh Sharma were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the operation of the hostel built for the children of policemen was discussed. In which Inspector General of Police Gwalior Zone said that the hostel built in Gwalior should be promoted as much as possible so that the children of policemen can take advantage of it. The meeting was organized to discuss the operation, rules, fees and other related matters of these hostels. In these hostels, children of police personnel will get accommodation for higher education, especially for the children of police personnel working in rural areas, food arrangements will also be made for the children so that they can get a family atmosphere.
In the above hostel started in Gwalior district, hostel facility has been started for the children of police personnel from constable to inspector level whose age is between 18 years to 26 years. Children of police personnel who are studying in competitive examination or other courses from other districts staying in Gwalior will be given admission. A 148 bedded hostel has been prepared in Gwalior which will also have canteen facility.
Eligibility for admission in the hostel:-
1. Children of police employees from 11th class to post graduation will be eligible to stay in the hostel, but the maximum age limit will be 26 years.
2. Real brothers of newly recruited female/male employees will also be eligible to stay in the hostel from 11th class, but no other relative except blood relation will be eligible.
3. After 11th class, there will be eligibility for a drop period of 01 year for preparation of competitive examination, but taking a drop more than that will not be eligible.
4. After postgraduate course, if the child wants to stay in the hostel for preparation of higher education/competitive examinations, then permission to stay in the hostel can be given on the basis of availability of space.
5. In the application form to be filled for admission in the hostel, the name of the educational institution/coaching and the details of education/coaching of the candidate will have to be filled and in proof of the above, the admission letter of the educational institution/coaching institute will also have to be attached.
