The Gujarat High Court upheld the demolition drive, stating that no illegal constructions could be allowed on Chandola Lake. The court also clarified that even if the administration had been inactive previously, illegal structures could not be legally accepted.
To prevent further encroachments, the municipal corporation has outlined a strict plan, which includes building a boundary wall, cutting off electricity connections, and ensuring tight monitoring.
