Two Notorious and Desperate Criminals Wanted in Attempt to Murder Cases Nabbed by Delhi Police Crime Branch

In a significant achievement, the Inter-State Cell (ISC) of the Crime Branch,
Delhi Police, has successfully apprehended two notorious criminals involved in
multiple heinous cases of attempt to murder using firearms. The operation was carried out under the close supervision of ACP Ramesh Chandra Lamba and the effective leadership of Inspector Satender Poonia.

* The accused were wanted in two violent attempt to murder cases registered at PS Bharat Nagar and PS Jahangir Puri.

* Both had been absconding for months, evading arrest despite sustained efforts by local police.

* The duo is involved in organized gang violence and has a long history of serious criminal offenses.

Case Details

Incident-I: FIR No. 450/2025, PS Bharat Nagar

  On the night of July 9, 2025, the complainant Firoz, a transport worker, was
ambushed near Macchi Pul, Wazirpur, by Krishan @ Narayan and his associates including Jairam @ Rahul. During the attack, Narayan fired a shot aimed at Firoz’s chest. The victim narrowly escaped with injuries after jumping over a wall. Further assault was carried out with a sword by other members of the gang. A case was registered under appropriate sections of the BNS and the Arms Act.

Incident-II: FIR No. 117/2025, PS Jahangir Puri

On February 5, 2025, accused Sumit @ Chavva @ Abhishek shot Piyush in the
chest near Hathi Wala Park following a previous altercation. The attack was
unprovoked and carried out with the assistance of two accomplices. A case was registered at PS Jahangir Puri.

The Operation

  The operation was led under the strategic command of Inspector Satender
Poonia, with Inspector Sohan Lal Bijarniya playing a key operational role. A dedicated team comprising SI Sanjay Kanojia, SI Rakesh, SI Neeraj Choudhary, HC Ashish, HC Anuj, HC Vikram, and Ct. Amit was formed to neutralize the threat. Acting on precise intelligence developed by SI Sanjay Kanojia, the team carried out a meticulously planned raid in the Chaukhandi area, ensuring seamless coordination and resulting in the swift arrest of both Krishan @ Narayan and Sumit @ Chavva.

Modus Operandi & Gang Rivalry

 Krishan @ Narayan leads a gang under the name of his father, Kudu Swami, a
history-sheeter with several violent cases to his name. The gang is locked in a bitter rivalry with Firoz’s group, and their confrontations have led to multiple incidents of public violence, use of firearms, and planned retaliatory attacks, endangering civilians and law enforcement alike.
