New Delhi, July 20:

Under the leadership of Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, the ongoing “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign witnessed a special initiative today, where saplings were planted across all 14 districts of Delhi and dedicated to Maa Yamuna. BJP MPs, state, and district officials participated in plantation and seed ball sowing along the banks of River Yamuna and local water bodies.

State General Secretary (Organisation) Shri Pawan Rana, along with Mayur Vihar District President Shri Vijender Dhama, State Minister Shri Vinod Bacheti, District General Secretary Shri Sanjeev Singh, Shri Neeraj Sharma, and Smt. Bhavna Jain carried out plantation and seed ball sowing at ITO Chhath Ghat, Kalindi Kunj, Madanpur Khadar East, and Sarai Kale Khan near the Yamuna.

Chandni Chowk MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal, with District President Shri Arvind Garg, undertook tree plantation and seed ball sowing at Vasudev Ghat and Civil Lines Yamuna Bazar Ghat.

State Vice President and program coordinator MLA Shri Rajkumar Bhatia, along with District President Shri U.K. Chaudhary, conducted the drive near Annapurna Mandir, Sabhapur Ward, Yamuna banks.

At Ramleela Ground, West Jyoti Nagar, Naveen Shahdara District, State Vice President Smt. Lata Gupta, State Spokesperson Dr. Anil Gupta, and District President Master Vinod Kumar led the plantation drive.

At Loha Wala Pul, Geeta Colony Yamuna Ghat, MLA Shri Anil Goyal, Councillor Shri Sandeep Kapoor, Shri Divyanshu Tyagi, and Shahdara District Vice President Shri Deepak Malhotra conducted the initiative.

In West Delhi, BJP leaders Shri Rajib Babbar and Smt. Shweta Saini, along with District President Shri Chandrapal Bakshi, participated in the plantation drive.

• Ajmal Khan Park – Karol Bagh District President Shri Virendra Babbar

• Chhawla Pul, in front of BSF Camp – Najafgarh District President Smt. Rajsharma Gautam

• Saidulajab Environmental Complex – Mehrauli District President Shri Ravindra Solanki

• Kalindi Kunj, Yamuna Banks – South Delhi District President Smt. Maya Singh Bisht

Shri Virendra Sachdeva stated that BJP has made a concerted effort to use seed balls particularly in areas with high moisture content. A long-term environmental conservation strategy is being implemented across the state. Additionally, seed ball preparation activities are being encouraged in schools. Over 30,000 seed balls will be cultivated into saplings. The next major initiative under this campaign will be held on July 27, following Mann Ki Baat, under the banner “Ek Ped Sena Ke Naam.”
