Mahesh Dhoundiyal - Delhi

In a press conference organized by International Ramlila Festival Committee dedicated to Indian culture and Ramayana research work, famous storyteller Shri Ajay Bhai Ji said that India is a nation rich in spirituality and religion. Special dates dedicated to the deities, gods and great men of this country and festivals according to seasons always keep its culture intact, but in the flow of time, we miss out on some things. One such festival that is getting lost and vanishing is Sita Navami Festival. We all believe that the God of India is Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram and the soul of Lord Shri Ram is Bhagwati Mata Sita. While Shri Ram is the best among men, Mata Sita is the best among women. Many festivals dedicated to Lord Shri Ram are celebrated throughout the year, while Sita Navami is a vanishing festival. It is mainly celebrated in Mithila, Nepal, Bihar etc. and by some major institutions. In fact, Mother Sita is the mother of the world and the ideal woman. It is indeed a matter of pride that this festival should be celebrated in the entire India in terms of women empowerment. Sita Ji's character as an ideal daughter, wife, mother, queen is inspiring, which is a guide for today's women power that how we can prove ourselves excellent by living with restraint even in adverse circumstances. This festival of Sita Navami falls on Vaishakh Shukla Navami, exactly one month after Ram Navami. In this context, he has demanded from the Indian government that the birth anniversary of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi should be established as Indian Women's Day. This will be a good step from development to heritage.

Dr. Ved Tandon, President of International Ramlila Festival Committee, said that we all should consider Sita Navami Festival for the establishment of ideal feminism in the present times. This is the need of the hour. Along with this, special events are also being organized by the organization on this subject in Sita Ji's birthplace Nepal, Karmabhoomi Ayodhya and Tapabhoomi Sri Lanka. Ramayana is not only a spiritual subject for us but it is also the culture of various countries, which strengthens India's relationship with neighboring countries. He said that inspired by the character of Sita Mata, the work of Nari Shakti will be done continuously throughout the country. In this series, there is also a plan to honor Nari Shakti doing special work in various fields and special people from the country and abroad are expected to come under the Women's Day Sita Navami Mahotsav at Rashtra Mandir.

On this occasion, special personalities including Rajesh Agarwal, Sanjay Rana, Mukesh Gupta, Hansraj Rahlan, Ekrant Sharma, Santosh Jain were present.
