Tributes paid to Sindhi poet Sheikh Ayaz on his 27th death anniversary

Last evening, the 27th death anniversary of the great Sindhi poet, poet, writer Sheikh Ayaz was celebrated at Namdev Panjwani Girls School in Patel Nagar. Senior singer Sarla Menghani paid tribute to him by singing his Sindhi songs on his death anniversary. Indore city's big Sindhi litterateurs, poets, writers, dramatists and lyricists participated in the program. Litterateur Chunnilal Wadhwani gave detailed information about Sheikh Ayaz's articles, poems and his biography.

 He said that Sheikh Ayaz is counted among the prominent Sindhi poets and revolutionaries. Sheikh Ayaz was a great writer. He wrote about 50 books on poetry, biography, dramas and short stories in both Sindhi and Urdu languages. Special guest Kamal Mirchandani, who came from America, also threw light on the famous poems written by him. Senior writer and litterateur Rashmi Ramani said that the progressive modern era in Sindhi poetry began with Sheikh Ayaz.

 The stage was conducted by Chunnilal Wadhwani. On this occasion, Secretary of Sindhi Adabi Sangat, H.P. Chimnani, President of Sindhi Surmayun, Anmol Paryani, Honorary Secretary of Sindhu Parishad, Ram Menghani, Regional Councillor Kanchan Gidwani paid tribute to Sheikh Ayaz.
