The addict told that after smoking smack, the dirty place seems like heaven because no one disturbs there.

The Additional SP honored those who took the oath to quit drugs by garlanding them.

Today on 11.12.2024, efforts were made by Gwalior Police to create awareness for de-addiction, in which Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Mr. Niranjan Sharma and SDOP Behat Mr. Santosh Patel reached Sanskar De-addiction Center Maharajpur area and made the people present aware of the evils of drugs and advised them to quit drugs.

In the de-addiction program organized at Sanskar De-addiction Center Maharajpur area, the drug addicts told that they spend Rs 300 daily on drugs and on the day they do not get money, they fight with the family members and even get into a fight. After this, when they cannot find any solution, they resort to theft and hooliganism. In front of Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) and SDOP Behat, people who had come to the drug de-addiction center from Bhind and Gwalior region swore in the name of their deity that they will not do drugs anymore. After this, the police officers honoured those who had given up drugs by garlanding them.

In a discussion with the drug addicts present there by the police officers, it was found that due to drugs, many boys could not get married and many had their wives leave them and run away. Therefore, somewhere or the other, drugs destroy the family and lead to destruction. The anti-drug campaign of Gwalior Police is to motivate people to get rid of drug addiction and to make the youth aware of the mental and financial losses caused by drugs. Along with the police officers, the officials of the organization were also present in the program.
