THREE NOTORIOUS THIEVES INVOLVED IN THEFT OF ATMs FROM A SENIOR CITIZEN ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF PS PALAM VILLAGE/SWD.

  • ACCUSED PERSONS WITHDREW Rs 60,000/- FROM 2 STOLEN ATMs.
  • Rs.20,500/-WITHDRAWN FROM ATMs OF COMPLAINANT, DOCUMENTS OF COMPLAINANT AND CLOTHES WORN BY ACCUSED PERSONS ALSO RECOVERED.
 
The staff of PS Palam Village, South West District has arrested three notorious thieves namely (1) Amaan R/o Bindapur, New Delhi, age 22 years, (2) Afjaal R/o Bindapur, New Delhi, age 43 years & (3) Imraan R/o Daulatbag, Muradabad, U.P. age 27 years. With their arrest, Rs 20,500/- withdrawn from ATMs of complainant, documents i.e. Aadhar Card and PAN card of the complainant and clothes worn by accused persons were recovered from their possession. 
 
 
INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST:
 
On 17.07.2025, an online E-FIR No. 80067082/2025, u/s 303(2)/317(2)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Palam Village by the complainant, Mr. R Kumar, R/o Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi, wherein he reported that three unknown persons stole his two ATM cards and other documents from his pocket after hitting him with a bicycle. Subsequently, an amount of ?60,000/- was withdrawn from his ATM cards (?30,000/- from each cards). Thereafter. investigation was taken up.
 
 
Keeping in view of the gravity of the offence, a dedicated team comprising of SI Manish Yadav, ASI Sanjeev Kumar, ASI Virender, HC Harender, HC Sandeep Kumar and HC Roopchand was constituted under the close supervision of Inspr. Sudhir Kumar Gulia, SHO/PS Palam Village and under overall guidance of Sh. Anil Kumar, ACP/Sub-Division, Delhi Cantt, Delhi to make sincere efforts in search of the wanted criminals of the present case.
 
 
During investigation, all possible entry & exit routes of the spot were checked and more than 50 CCTV cameras were checked and meticulously analyzed. Local sources were deployed and human intelligence was also collected. The team worked on all the available aspects of the case. During analysis of the CCTV footage, the team members noticed three persons and the clear photos of the persons were developed through technical apparatus and circulated among local informers to get their identities and locations. The team collected some vital and key inputs and dug out of board some more inputs through manual as well as technical surveillance. On the basis of local intelligence, two of the accused persons were identified as Amaan and Afjaal, both residents of Bindapur, New Delhi. On 04.08.2025, on the basis of a secret informer, both the accused persons Amaan and Afjaal were arrested from the area of PS Palam Village, Delhi. PC Remand of the accused Afjaal was obtained to recover the case property and to trace out the third absconding accused person Imran. On 06.08.2025, the accused person Imran was arrested at the instance of accused person Afjaal from the area of Moradabad, U.P. During, further course of investigation, total Rs. 20500/- (Rs 15000 from Afjaal and 5500 from Imran), documents of the complainant i.e. (Aadhar card and PAN Card) and clothes and footwear worn by the accused persons were recovered from their possession.  
 
 
INTERROGATION: 
 
During the course of interrogation, the accused persons confessed their involvement in theft of ATMs from a senior citizen and they further told that the PIN of ATMs were written at the inner side of the ATM cover and they withdrew Rs. 60000 i.e Rs 30000 from each card and further distributed the amount equally among themselves. They further disclosed that they had spent the theft money on their expenses of drugs i.e. Smack and only Rs 20500 has been left with them. They further admitted of throwing the ATMs in a drain somewhere in Bindapur, Delhi.
 
RECOVERY: 
 
1. Rs 20,500 amount withdrawn from the ATMs of the complainant.
2. Documents i.e. Aadhar Card and PAN card of the complainant.
3. Clothes and footwears worn by the accused persons during the commission of offence.

1. E-FIR No.80067082/2025, u/s 303(2)/317(2)/3(5) BNS, PS Palam Village, Delhi.
 
        Further investigation is under progress.
