Bureau Chief Pavan Paruthi - Gwalior

Shivpuri Madhya Pradesh: These days Madhya Pradesh is experiencing severe cold. People are resorting to bonfires to avoid the cold, but a little carelessness and this fire is causing people's death. Recently, an incident took place in Gwalior in which an old woman died due to the fire kept under the cot. Now another such incident is coming to light from Shivpuri where sleeping by lighting a fire to avoid the cold in Bairad proved to be costly. Here people had lit a fire to sleep at night to avoid the cold, but an unfortunate incident happened. Three people died due to burning. The deceased belong to the Banjara community.

Three people were burnt alive while sleeping in Bairad last night. All three had slept by lighting a bonfire at night due to the cold. The fire from the bonfire spread to the hut and the people sleeping in the hut did not even know about it. When the fire took a terrible form, all the three people sleeping in it died. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

Let us tell you that when you are in deep sleep, the fire is felt late and by the time it has spread and you come to know, it is too late. During winter, caution should be taken while sleeping after lighting a bonfire. If possible, the bonfire should be turned off before sleeping. If a bonfire has to be lit, then the distance of the bonfire from the sleeping place should be sufficient. And there should not be any flammable material around the bonfire that can catch fire. It has come at the time of winter. Two types of incidents usually come to the fore by lighting a bonfire in a closed room. One is an accident due to fire and secondly, many such incidents have also come to the fore when the oxygen in the room is exhausted due to the burning of fire. And the people sleeping there die of suffocation. In view of such incidents, experts advise that to avoid cold, do not use bonfire in a closed room and keep the bonfire at a sufficient distance while sleeping.
