Police disclosed the commendable work of recovering two stolen smart mobile phones and two stolen motorcycles
On analyzing the crime in the area it was found that the incidents related to street crime and vehicle theft are on the rise. Considering the gravity, sensitivity and seriousness of the matter, dedicated patrol teams were formed under the guidance of Inspector Satwinder Singh SHO PS Jahangirpuri and overall supervision of Praveen Kumar (ACP Jahangirpuri) to control the rising thefts/incidents. The staff was directed to keep a close watch on the movements of suspicious persons in the area and to keep an eye on habitual thieves active in the area.
On 20.11.24 a dedicated patrol team of Head Constable Amit No. 1725/NW and Constable Kuldeep No. 2219/NW during their patrolling duty on service road behind BJRM Hospital Jahangirpuri stopped a suspicious person who was riding a motorcycle. On interrogation he revealed his name as Praveen son of Satpal Sharma resident of B-48 Gali No. 3, Prem Nagar Nathupura Burari Delhi.
On examination two mobile phones were found in his pocket and on interrogation he could not give satisfactory answer about their ownership. On suspicion, mobile phones OPPO F-215G and I-phone7+ were checked on Zipnet and both were found to be stolen by EFIR No.80089710/24 U/s 303(2) BNS Dt.17.08.2024 PS Jahangir Puri. HC Dinesh No. 571/NWS also joined the team. The alleged person Praveen was asked about the motorcycle No. DL8SBX8770 Passion Black colour on which he was riding, and the same was examined and it was found to be stolen from PS Mahendra Park, E FIR No.035760/24 Dt.19.11.24 under U/s- 305(2). Accused Praveen disclosed that he had stolen another motorcycle make- Splendor which he could get recovered from Machhli Market near Majlis Park Metro Station Jahangir Puri Delhi. Accordingly, on his information, motorcycle Splendor number DL11SD4529 parked in bushes near Majlis Park Metro Station Jahangir Puri Delhi was also recovered. It was found to be stolen under e-FIR No. 027872 U/s 305(B) BNS PS Mahendra Park.
Abhishek Dhania IPS Deputy Commissioner of Police told Bureau Chief Vijay Gaur that from accused Praveen son of Satpal Sharma resident of B-48 Gali No. 3, Prem Nagar Nathupura Burari Delhi, Age-39 years, police recovered 2 mobile phones: Oppo F-215G and I-Phone 7 Plus and two motorcycles.
