ONE DESPERATE CRIMINAL WANTED IN A CASE OF ATTEMPT TO MURDER OF PS UTTAM NAGAR, DELHI ARRESTED BY CRIME BRANCH

INTRODUCTION:
A team of WR-II, Crime Branch apprehended accused Sagar @ Babu r/o Pankha Road, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, aged 26 years. He was found involved in a case of attempted murder registered at PS Uttam Nagar FIR No. 489/24, dated 23.10.2024, U/s 109(1)3(5) BNS.

INCIDENT:
On 23.10.2024, the victim Lokesh was passing near Chadda Hotel along with his friend Abhishek when the accused Sagar @ Babu and his accomplice Sunny were already waiting for them, intending to kill them due to a prior vendetta. Sagar and Sunny stopped the victims midway, and while Sunny restrained Lokesh, Sagar brutally stabbed him with the intent to kill. As a result, a case FIR No. 489/24, 23.10.2024, U/s 109(1)3(5) BNS was registered at PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:
Given the gravity of the matter, the WR-II, Crime Branch, was assigned to work on the suspect. Both manual and technical surveillance were set up. Secret information was received by Ct. Sandeep, who learned that Sagar @ Babu, involved in the attempted murder case at PS Uttam Nagar, would come near Sector 1, Dwarka, Delhi, to meet his associates. He could be apprehended if a timely trap was laid.
Accordingly, a team led by Insp. Akshay, comprising SI Ravi, ASI Ravi Prakash, HC Mayank, and Ct. Sandeep, under the close supervision of ACP Ravinder Kumar Rajput, was formed by undersigned to nab the criminal. The team laid a trap near Sector 1, Dwarka, and successfully apprehended Sagar @ Babu, aged 26 years, r/o Pankha Road, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi.
INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, accused Sagar @ Babu revealed that he, along with his associate Sunny, had brutally stabbed the victim, Lalit, near Chadda Hotel, Pankha Road, Uttam Nagar.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED:
Accused, Sagar @ Babu was born in 1998 and studied up to the 7th grade before dropping out due to family circumstances. He became involved in criminal activities at an early age, starting with petty crimes, and later escalated to more serious offenses. In addition to this case, Sagar @ Babu has been previously involved in three other criminal cases, including robbery.
