Green Heartfulness Run Swachhata Marathon started from Katora Lake this morning

To create public awareness towards environmental protection and cleanliness, Heartfulness Institute in collaboration with Municipal Corporation organized "Green Heartfulness Run Swachhata Marathon" from 6.30 am today. This program is being organized at more than 100 places across the country, which includes 8 major cities of Madhya Pradesh including Gwalior.

To create awareness towards environmental protection and cleanliness among the general public, Heartfulness Institute in collaboration with Municipal Corporation organized Green Heartfulness Run Swachhata Marathon. The chief guest of the program was Municipal Commissioner Aman Vaishnav. Mayor Dr. Shobha Sikarwar was the special guest. The program was presided over by the in-charge of the organization Archana Sharma.

The objective of this event is to encourage more and more tree plantation to reduce the ill effects of increasing pollution and industrialization. To make citizens aware about cleanliness and environmental protection. To strengthen the efforts to save endangered species and environment. To make collective efforts to make Gwalior clean, green and beautiful.

The Swachhata Marathon started from Flag Point Savarkar Marg Katora Tal and reached via Achleshwar Temple, Inderganj Square, River Gate Square and back to Flag Point Savarkar Marg Katora Tal via the same route. A total of 500 participants, both men and women, took part in this marathon. In the men's category, Ranjeet Parihar stood first, Bholu Gurjar second and Ramu Gurjar third. In the women's category,

Pihu Rana stood first, Srishti Parmar second and Payal third. All the participants were given certificates as well as cash. The organization presented mementos to all the guests. IMA President Dr Brijesh Singhal and Dr Rahul Sapra were specially present in this program. The chief guest, Corporation Commissioner Aman Vaishnav administered the oath of cleanliness to everyone. On the closing ceremony of the Swachhata Marathon, the participants were rewarded by the public representatives while encouraging everyone.
