Safdarjung Hospital Enhances Neonatal Care with State-of-the-Art Ventilator

Safdarjung Hospital's Pediatrics Department inaugurated a cutting-edge Drager Babylog VN600 Intensive Care Ventilator today, contributed by the Sunshine Foundation. This advanced medical equipment will enhance the facility's ability to provide life-saving care to critically ill newborns.

Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Medical Superintendent VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, who presided over the inauguration ceremony, expressed his gratitude: "This contribution marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide world-class healthcare to all sections of society. The Drager Babylog VN600 is among the most sophisticated neonatal ventilators available today, and its addition to our facility will help save countless young lives."

Dr. Ratan Gupta, Head of Department - Pediatrics, highlighted the technical significance of the equipment during the inauguration: "The Drager Babylog VN600 represents the pinnacle of neonatal ventilation technology. Its advanced features, including volume-targeted ventilation and automatic leakage compensation, will allow us to provide optimal respiratory support to critically new born. This equipment will particularly benefit premature babies and those with severe respiratory distress."

Dr. Sandeep Aggarwal, Trustee of Sunshine Foundation, emphasized the foundation's commitment to healthcare: "Our foundation believes in making meaningful contributions to public healthcare infrastructure. This contribution  aligns with our mission to enhance medical care accessibility for all, especially in critical care departments serving newborn and children."

The ventilator was officially inaugurated in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and is now operational, serving the hospital's significant patient load from Delhi and neighboring states.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by all Additional  MS, HOD, faculty, staff and CSR Team.
