Bihari folk culture boomed at the International Trade Fair, cultural evening decorated with folk songs at the India Pavilion

Sunday evening was filled with the melodious tunes of Bihari folk songs at the Bihar Pavilion of the Indian International Trade Fair. The occasion was the cultural function of Bihar Day, which was inaugurated by Bihar's Industry and Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Director of Industries Alok Ranjan Ghosh and Director of Handloom and Silk Directorate Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar were also present.

In this special cultural event of Bihar Day, a unique display of the rich folk culture of Bihar was done. In the ceremony, famous folk song singers of Bihar mesmerized the audience by presenting songs in Maithili, Bhojpuri, Magahi and Angika.

Folk singer Neetu Kumari Navgeet enthralled the audience with her melodious voice. She enthralled the audience by presenting the song "Bata Da Babua Logwa Det Kahe Gaari" based on the marriage of Lord Shri Ram and Mata Sita and the Jatsari song "Dagriya Johat Na Ho Beet Bate Athpahariya Ho Dagariya Johat Na" composed by Bhikhari Thakur. Along with this, her other songs like "Piya Gayile Kalkatwa Ae Sajni", "Patna Se Baida Bulaai Da", "Paniya Ke Jahaj Se Palatniya" and "Koyal Bina Bagiya Na Shobhe Raja" also enthralled the audience.

On this occasion, other prominent folk singers, Satyendra Kumar Sangeet, Amar Anand, Neetu Kumari Nutan and Usha Singh also graced the event with their performances. The musical troupe comprising Bhola Verma (tabla), Shashi Bhushan Jha (keyboard), Hari Bhushan Jha (dholak), Manoj Kumar Yadav (pad) and Kumar Paras (banjo) enlivened the event with their musical instruments.
