Eco-Trail Education and Awareness Tour: Visit to Aravali Biodiversity Park

On 7th April 2026, a total of 160 students along with 3 faculty members and  student volunteers from Samvriti participated in an Eco-Trail Education and Awareness Tour at Aravali Biodiversity Park, Gurugram. The tour was organized by Enviroment Club of K R Mangalam University in collaboration with its NSS unit and Samvriti: The Eco Club, Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University.

The session was enriched by the expert guidance of Dr. Asha Sharma, a naturologist working at Aravali Biodiversity Park, who provided valuable insights into the historical background of the park and its remarkable ecological restoration. She elaborated on the revival of the Aravali ecosystem and highlighted the significance of biodiversity conservation. Students also explored a wide variety of rare plant species and medicinal plants, gaining practical exposure to environmental sustainability and traditional knowledge systems. Mr Vijay Dhasmana a renowned ecologist and The Rewilders have played a great role in curation and developing the Aravali Biodiversity Park in the present position. 

The successful execution of the tour was made possible under the continuous support and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) J.S. Yadav, Dean, School of Agricultural Sciences and Convener, Environment Club.

The tour was effectively organized and coordinated by Dr. Monika Bishnoi, Dr. Jay Nath Patel, and Dr. Pooja Bansal, whose efforts ensured meaningful learning and active student engagement throughout the visit. The efforts and contributions of students committee led by its president Ms Astha and Vice President Me Devansh Jain has also played a significant role in success of the event. 

Overall, the tour proved to be an insightful and enriching experience, fostering environmental awareness and encouraging students to take active roles in conservation initiatives. The club also initiated collaboration with the clubs from other universities and institutions so that joint events and projects on environmental issues may be done in future. The support and guidance from the department of students welfare is duly acknowledged. Overall it was a very good learning experience for the participants.
