Encroachment removed from temple trust land worth Rs 100 crore in Gwalior: Big action by district administration

The district administration on Saturday freed about 9 bighas of valuable government land of Shri Ram Janaki Temple Trust located at Taraganj Kota Lashkar from encroachment. The value of this land has been estimated at around Rs 100 crore. On the instructions of Collector Mrs. Ruchika Chauhan, this action was taken by a joint team of district administration, municipal corporation and police under the leadership of SDM Lashkar Shri Narendra Babu Yadav.

Boundary walls and other constructions were demolished to remove encroachment. According to the information, preparations were being made to sell plots on this land by Manoharlal Bhalla. This plan was foiled by the prompt action of the administration, which saved many innocent people from getting trapped in land fraud.

Collector gave special instructions

Collector Mrs. Chauhan has instructed all SDMs to keep the Mafi-Aukaf lands related to temples safe. If there is encroachment anywhere, remove it as a campaign. Also, necessary work should be done in the temples by better managing these lands.

Officers included in the joint team

Along with SDM Lashkar Shri Narendra Babu Yadav, Tehsildar Shri Shivdutt Katare, Naib Tehsildar Dr. Ramashankar Singh, Municipal Corporation Madakhlat Officer Shri Keshav Singh Chauhan, Police Station Incharge Shri Vipendra Singh Chauhan, Regional Revenue Inspector and Patwari were included.

This action was taken under the orders given by the Collector after site inspection on November 18. On Saturday, boundary walls and other encroachments were removed with the help of JCB and Municipal Corporation Madakhlat team.

This action of the administration in the district has created panic among the encroachers.
