8th Annual Convocation 2026 of DPSRU: Celebrating Innovation and Excellence in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy and Allied Health Care

Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) proudly hosted its Eighth Annual Convocation Ceremony on the morning of 25th February 2026 at the Vigyan Bhawan auditorium. The prestigious academic procession, led by the DPSRU Registrar, was a grand spectacle featuring esteemed dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Chancellor, the Chief Guest, the Vice- Chancellor, Members of General Council, Members of Board of Governors, Associate Deans and Directors, Members of Academic Council and the Faculty Members.
The ceremony was presided over by Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena Ji, Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and Chancellor of DPSRU. Hon’ble Chairman of executive committee of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Shri Anil Sahasrabudhe, adorned the event as the Chief Guest.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ravichandiran V., proudly hosted the ceremony in recognition of exceptional academic performance and contributions by the students of DPSRU. Prof. (Dr.) Ravichandiran V, the Hon’ble VC, delivered the Welcome Address, highlighting the University's notable accomplishments. In his Convocation address, Shri Anil Sahasrabudhe’s quotes emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in today's fast-paced world. He cited that by embracing a growing mindset and recognizing the importance of lifelong learning, individuals can stay ahead of the curve and make meaningful contributions to their communities. The presidential address by Hon'ble LG Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena ji resonated deeply and emphasized the importance of hard work, lifelong learning while embracing innovation but at the same time remaining rooted in our heritage and traditions. He reminded us that even as we navigate the complexities of a rapidly changing world, we must not forget our cultural identity and the values that shape us.
Dr. Prabodh C Sharma, Associate Dean Academics, read the grace of 756 graduating students, across a diverse range of programmes like M.Pharm, B.Pharm, MBA-PM, MBA-ITM, MBA-HHM, MPH, MPT-Sports Medicine, M.Sc. AIM, BBA-CH, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, B.Sc. (Hons.) Biomedical Science, B.Sc. (Hons.) Sport Sciences, BMLT, D. Pharm. and DMLT and 21 Ph.D.s. Dr. Ramchander Khatri, Offcg. Registrar, DPSRU placed the register of graduates before the Hon’ble Chancellor for his signature.
Several prestigious awards were also presented during the ceremony: The SITARAM JINDAL FOUNDATION GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Lovely Shukla (B. Pharm) and Ms. Ishika Jain (BPT). The PROF. S. S. AGRAWAL GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Latisha (D. Pharm). The VIJAYIN–ALNICHE GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Vidhika Kumari (M. Pharm.). The ‘RAJRISHI’ AJAY PANKAJ PARASHAR GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Raj Nandini Gupta (M. Pharm, DRUG REGULATORY AFFAIRS). The AIMIL PHARMACEUTICALS INDIA GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Rashmi Singh (M. Pharm, PHARMACOGNOSY). The SOSHIL KUMAR JAIN, PANACEA BIOTEC GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Kavya Gupta (M. Pharm, Biotechnology). The RAJESH CHAND ARORA, AAGYA BIOTECH GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Trinkle Aggarwal (M. Pharm, Pharmacology). The SNEH PRABHA NEMI CHAND JAIN GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Vidhika Kumari (M. Pharm, Pharmaceutics/ Industrial Pharmacy/ Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance). The SHRI M. G. GEORGE MUTHOOT EXCELLENCE GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Vinita Singh (MBA, Pharmaceutical Management & International Trade Management), Ms. Nishi Sharma (MBA, Healthcare and Hospital Management), and Ms. Bhavika Nagpal (Masters in Public Health). The JWALAT–ALNICHE AWARD was presented to Nanoclean Global Pvt. Ltd. The VICE CHANCELLOR GOLD MEDAL was presented to Ms. Sonali Singh (B. Sc. (H) Sports Sciences), Ms. Priya Patel (DMLT), Ms. Umaira Hasan (M. Pharm), Ms. Nandini Bhardwaj (MPT), Ms. Sumaiya Qasim (M. Pharm, Pharmaceutical Analysis), Ms. Harshita Bisht (M.Sc. AIM), Mr. Aman Sharma (B.Sc. (H) Biomedical Science), Mr. Bharat Kharbanda (M. Pharm., EX-DRS), Mr. Tushar Bansal BBA (Healthcare), Ms. Shweta Singh (BMLT), Ms. Tanish Roy Chowdhary (B. Pharm, Ayurveda). The prestigious LG TROPHY AWARD was presented to Ms. Swidhi Jain (B. Pharm). The PROF. S. S. AGRAWAL TROPHY was presented to Mr. Manish (BPT).
 
The convocation not only honoured the hard work and academic excellence of its students but also underscored DPSRU’s commitment to innovation, creativity, and holistic education. By integrating interdisciplinary teaching, research, and value-based education, DPSRU is paving the way for future leaders in pharmaceutical sciences, management, physiotherapy, and allied health disciplines.
Established as the first Pharmacy University in India and the third in the world, DPSRU’s legacy began in 1964 with the D. Pharm programme in polytechnic. It evolved through the College of Pharmacy in 1972 and the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) in 2004, before being reconstituted as DPSRU in 2015 under Act 07 of the 2008 State Legislature of Delhi. DPSRU, a UGC recognised university, has been accredited with NAAC A grade.
This memorable convocation reflects DPSRU’s mission “to develop core competency in the pharmaceutical sector and contribute to building leaders, administrators, and professionals equipped to address health and management challenges” and its vision “to be the ultimate destination for education, training, and research in pharmaceutical sciences and allied areas, catering to the health needs of the people at large”.
