150+ pilgrims are getting life-saving medical assistance every day

Dedicated medical team is active at both the temple complex and youth hostel, ACLS ambulance is also deployed

Badrinath Dham, Chamoli –

This year a new chapter has been added in the service of pilgrims at Badrinath, the holy abode of Lord Vishnu, nestled in the lap of the Himalayas. The country's leading high altitude medical institution, Six Sigma Healthcare, has set up separate medical camps here at two places – the main temple complex and the youth hostel – which are providing health benefits to more than 150 pilgrims every day.

The team of Six Sigma Healthcare is promptly serving for common problems faced at high altitude such as hypoxia (lack of oxygen), hypothermia (drop in body temperature), shortness of breath, extreme fatigue and joint pain.

This service is being led by Dr. Sapna Budhlakoti, along with whom staff nurses Meenu Kumari and Aman are engaged in taking care of the pilgrims all the time. This team is working under the leadership of Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj, who is the founder of Mountain Medicine Society and CEO of Six Sigma Healthcare.

The special achievement is that this time Six Sigma has set up a separate and independent medical camp in Badrinath, which is providing more effective, systematic and rapid service than before.

Apart from this, a modern ACLS ambulance of Six Sigma has also been deployed in Badrinath, which is providing free medical services to the nearby Mana village. This ambulance is equipped with advanced life saving equipment, which is capable of providing immediate relief to the pilgrims in any emergency.

Dr. Sapna Budhlakoti says, "Our goal is not just treatment, but to give every traveler a safe and pleasant travel experience. This spirit of service is the identity of Six Sigma."

This service is completely free of cost and is being appreciated by the Uttarakhand Government, local administration and devotees.
