Dusshera Celebration Successfully Organized with Eco Friendly Ravana by KHCA

The Kailash Hills Community Association (KHCA) celebrated this year’s Dusshera in a unique and eco-friendly manner, setting an inspiring example for sustainable festivities. Instead of the traditional burning of an effigy of Ravana, which causes significant air and noise pollution, KHCA introduced an innovative initiative — a Balloon Ravana, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil without harming the environment.

The grand event was held at Rain Shelter Park, behind Central Park, where residents of Kailash Hills gathered with great enthusiasm to participate in this meaningful celebration. The massive Ravana effigy was constructed using balloons, designed to highlight the importance of environmental protection. At the scheduled time, the effigy was ceremonially burst by the residents, creating an atmosphere of joy, unity, and festivity without leaving behind smoke, ashes, or harmful residues.

The initiative emphasized the growing need for eco-conscious celebrations. KHCA aimed to promote awareness about the harmful impact of burning effigies and fireworks, while also providing the community with an engaging and symbolic alternative. The event was not just a cultural celebration, but also a social message to encourage everyone to adopt sustainable practices in festivals and daily life.

The presence of families, children, and senior residents added warmth and togetherness to the occasion. The program was organised under the leadership of Rajiv Nagpal the president of kaliash hills association and supervise by senior vise President with the corporation of team members and including .The event was further enriched with cultural activities, storytelling on the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana, and messages highlighting the importance of protecting nature for future generations.

Speaking on the occasion, Jitin Rajput Senior Vice President of KHCA , expressed his gratitude to the residents for their overwhelming participation and support. He highlighted that such initiatives strengthen the community bond while also contributing positively to the larger cause of environmental conservation. In which they were asked to tell about victory of lord Rama at other interesting question which were answered confidently. The Prizes was also awarded among the winners.

Vijay Gaur Vice Chairman of KHCA told that the main theme of the Eco Friendly Ballon Ravana was to spread the message to save the Environment by avoiding the Pollution which is a big Challenge in the society.

The program was organized under the leadership of Rajiv Nagpal the President of KHCA and supervised by Jitin Rajput Senior Vise President with the corporation of team members including Vijay Gaur , GD Sharma, Sudesh Goyal, Deepak Sharma, Priyank Jain, Yogesh Behl, Rajesh Virmani, Sakshi, Satish, Rekha Arora, Shekhar Oberoi, Rajesh Munjal, Man Mohan Singh,Manav Kapoor, Anjana Agrawal ,Anuj Kansal, Babita Verma Chawla, Dr. Nikhil Saxena, Kunal Khanna, Rajesh Virmani, SC Dua, Satish Nagpal, Nidhi Julka, Prateek Kohli.

This year’s Eco-Friendly Dusshera celebration by KHCA not only upheld the age-old values of truth and righteousness but also showcased a modern approach to festivities — one that celebrates tradition while caring for the planet.
