Under Operation Prahar, the accused of smuggling illegal drug (ganja) was arrested in the action of Crime Branch Indore

Instructions have been given by senior officials to take effective action against the miscreants involved in smuggling of illegal drugs and their activities in the city. In continuation of the said instructions, the Crime Branch team is continuously collecting intelligence confidentially regarding the purchase and sale of illegal drugs and the persons involved in their activities and taking effective action.

In this connection, the Crime Branch team left for the area to check the absconding accused and drug smugglers and reached Bypass AB Road Nexa showroom where a person was seen sitting suspiciously with a sack, from whom the name and address were known. On being asked, he told his name to be (1) Kantilal Pawara s/o Dhan Singh resident of Bhoheti Dhule (Maharashtra). Upon searching the bag of the accused as per rules, about 24 kg 240 gram of illegal drug ganja was found in the bag, for which he did not give any proper answer.

24 kg 240 gram of illegal narcotic substance ganja (worth about Rs. 2 lakh 24 thousand) and 01 mobile phone were seized from the possession of the accused and a case under section 8/20 of NDPS Act was registered against the accused at Police Station Crime Branch and investigation was taken up, on the basis of which further legal action is being taken.
