Chemical factories are once again poisoning the city's clean air.

The Meghnagar industrial area in Jhabua district was established in 1984 by the then Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, with the aim of generating employment and regional development. However, the operators of some of the currently operating chemical factories have ignored the government's developmental intentions and are pursuing their own development, thus risking the health and lives of the people of the area. For the past few years, some chemical factories, such as those producing tire oil, have been flouting government regulations and operating their factories in the dark of night, spreading chemical-laden odors into the city's clean air, thus endangering the lives of the public and livestock.

Why are the factory operators and officials, who recently closed their factories for a while during the Save Life Movement in the city, now silent on the poison spreading in the city's atmosphere?
