DPSRU Empowers Future Leaders at 'Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect' Event

NEW DELHI — Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) hosted the highly anticipated "Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect" today, drawing students, alumni, and distinguished guests to discuss the intersection of India’s cultural heritage and its future as a global scientific leader. The event, aimed at aligning the ambitions of young students with the national vision of a developed India, featured Smt. Suhani Pandey from the Ministry of Youth Affairs as the Chief Guest.
Scientific Excellence and Global Leadership
Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, the Vice Chancellor (VC) of DPSRU highlighted the Prime Minister’s visionary initiatives designed to guide the youth toward the goal of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India). The Vice Chancellor emphasized that under PM Modi’s serious encouragement, young leaders are receiving the full support needed to represent India on global platforms.
"The world looks at us with hopeful eyes," the Vice Chancellor stated, pointing to India's burgeoning status as a global hub for pharmaceutical research. He urged the students to "energize scientifically," noting that the great scientific achievements of India's young population are crucial to the nation's future prosperity.
The Unifying Power of Vande Mataram
The event also took a deep dive into the historical roots of Indian patriotism. A standout presentation by Daksh Bahl, titled "Vande Mataram and the Yuva Connection," captivated the audience. Bahl contrasted the British imposition of "God Save the Queen"—a song meant to manufacture loyalty—with Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s "Vande Mataram," which successfully established genuine emotion and unbreakable unity among Indians during the freedom struggle.
Bahl further explained that the chant of 'Vande Mataram' and the spirit of 'Bharat' represent the divine convergence of three Devi powers essential for nation-building:
* Maa Durga: Representing absolute strength and courage.
* Maa Saraswati: Representing wisdom and intellectual pursuit.
* Maa Laxmi: Representing wealth and economic prosperity.
Redefining True Youth Leadership
Adding a modern perspective on teamwork and social responsibility, prominent DPSRU alumni Gauri Gandhari addressed the students on the true meaning of leadership. She reminded the audience that a true leader is not merely an individual who performs well, but one who actively guides and uplifts their entire team.
Leaving a lasting impression on the attendees, Gandhari remarked, "Yuva hone ka matlab sirf aage badna nahi hota, balki samaj ko saath lekar chalna hota hai" (Being a youth doesn't just mean advancing yourself, but taking society forward with you).
The "Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect" concluded on a high note, leaving DPSRU students inspired to blend their scientific pursuits with a strong sense of social and cultural responsibility as they prepare to lead India into its next era of development.
